This fully vegan café offers great, perfectly seasoned food. We had a faux salmon bagel (wonderful with the slightly toasted bagel) and a bowl that had loads of colours. Happy food to make you feel full without needing a nap.

Simpel en gewoon goed. Ik hou van de pure smaken hiervan en de peanut dressing was ook zeer lekker, fijn dat ik het zelf kon toevoegen. De kimchi als extra erbij was ongelofelijk lekker. Fantastisch samen met de bowl. De avocado was heerlijk smeuïg. Iced berry matcha latte, alsook de iced mango matcha, heb ik nog nergens anders gezien en ik ben zo’n fan van iced matcha dat ik het moest proberen. Heerlijk.

Blackbird is zonder twijfel mijn favoriete adresje in Brugge voor ontbijt, brunch of lunch. Elke keer opnieuw is het genieten! Mijn absolute favorieten zijn de açaí bowl en de kimchi toast – allebei boordevol smaak en prachtig gepresenteerd.
Read moreAls veganist voel je je hier helemaal thuis. De kaart staat vol heerlijke plantaardige opties die bewijzen dat vegan eten allesbehalve saai is. Ook niet-vegan vrienden die ik hier al mee naartoe nam, waren telkens enthousiast.
Naast het lekkere eten hangt er een gezellige, ontspannen sfeer en is de bediening altijd vriendelijk. Hou er wel rekening mee dat het een populaire plek is, dus reserveren is zeker geen slecht idee.
Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die in Brugge op zoek is naar een heerlijk ontbijt, brunch of lunch. Ik kom hier met plezier telkens weer terug!

After arriving hungry in Bruges, i was grateful to find Blackbird open. Their coffee was smooth, the chocolate croissant was sweet, and their breakfast bagel didn’t disappoint!

Gorgeous breakfast / brunch or lunch spot. Can highly recommend the breakfast bagel, chunky monkey oats, and the hot drinks. Fab staff an pretty location to people watch while you eat.

I enjoyed the chai latte as well as the coffee. As to the dishes, there are quite some sweet options but we were looking for savory. I had a bowl with tofu and couscous. It’s tasty with big portion, but the amount of peanuts they have in it tired me up a bit swiftly. Overall a nice café!

We were lucky to get a table at Blackbird. We arrived when they opened without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us. I had the breakfast bagel and the yogurt, granola, and fruit. Everything was delicious.

Nice lunch but too many peanuts 🥜 - Edit
I had the Happiness Bowl with quinoa and a latte. The bowl was overall good, nicely seasoned and very fresh, but I personally think it had way too many peanuts which kinda overpower the whole dish ( it already has a peanut sauce). It would be nicer if it had e.g. more beans or veggies instead and a sprinkle of peanuts as a topping! I passed on this feedback to the kitchen. The coffee was very good, and staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere. I’d like to come back again to try other dishes 😁

This place has a great menu and awesome coffee. They use pea milk (a first for me) which was a nice subtle taste to enhance the great coffee. Lots of choice with food. My bagel was delicious and every plate we saw go out looked amazing. Very busy on a Sunday morning

We had a lovely brunch at blackbird. The food was amazing! Everything tasted really good. I had the zalmm and a croissant and it was really nice. My dad and my husband had the (extra) lazy breakfast which they really enjoyed. My children sat at a separate table, enjoying croissants, cake and overnight oats. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere warm.

If there’s anything better than breakfast, it’s all-day breakfast. This spot had been on my list for a long time, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The menu is extensive enough, with a great balance between sweet and savory options. We tried the kimchi toast and the breakfast bagel, both full of flavor and generously portioned. Coffee lovers are in the right place too; the filter coffee was amazing.

A Delicious Last-Minute Visit - Edit
arrived close to closing time and unfortunately didn’t get to try much from the menu, but at least I had time to enjoy a slice of banana cake and a chai latte, which were both delicious! The staff were very friendly and polite, and one of the women even gave me suggestions for other vegan restaurants in the city that would be open later. Too bad I couldn’t stay longer.

A great place for brunch with a wide range of dishes. I opted for the lazy breakfast (yoghurt and granola, bread, croissant) which came with both juice and coffee. It was all good but I particularly enjoyed the granola which was topped with a variety of fruit.

We turned up without a booking and saw a sign saying no tables free. We fortunately got in but saw quite a few others turned away. The food was really good. We had the salmon toast, avocado toast and hamm and cheese croissant. Would definitely go back and try other things but sadly there are no free slots until a few days later.
