Over did it! - Edit
This place serves a falafel patty as either a burger with fries, or as part of a salad. Being burger out, we opted for the salad. It was delicious and huge; we could have easily split it and still been stuffed. As full as we were, we could not resist the temptation of having their specialty vegan milkshake. This is no ordinary milkshake as it is piled extra high with whipped cream and other goodies; at least we split this. We were beyond stuffed by the time we ate everything.

Decent falafel burger and milk shake - Edit
Grateful that this place had vegan options! I saw a falafel burger and a salad with a vegan burger on it the cookie milk shake. The burger was real good, except I disliked the vegan feta on it. The milkshake was fun but very thick.. I almost would have rather prefer a simple option like a classic chocolate milk shake

Great in resort option - Edit
This restaurant in the Venetian is a great option if you’re in the mood for a really fun, big, shareable shake & a yummy falafel burger. The cons are simply that only 1 option is labeled vegan and only 1 shake (as of Feb 2024) is labeled as “can be made vegan”. Other items, like the house salad, falafel salad, Brussel sprouts, etc. look like they could or should be vegan! But you’d need to ask. The vegan cookies shake was super fun so I’d recommend trying it out if you’re in the mood for that! Otherwise, the best vegan food in Vegas is off the Strip😉

Great Falafel - Edit
There is no more quinoa bowl or black bean burger. There is still a falafel burger which is labeled vegan and a falafel salad which reads vegan. There is also a big specialty shake though they were out of something they needed for it the night I was there so I ended up with a regular shake. We sat in the bar because it was packed. Drinks took forever. So long we almost left. Food came fast. And then the shake and the check took forever. I love falafel and this was good but overall not really worth it. It seemed like our waiter had too large of a section so maybe someone called in sick and he was covering two sections. I don’t know.

The fun shake did not disappoint - Edit
They do not have a vegan shake listed on their menu anymore, so I asked what options they had. The waiter pointed me to The Peanut Brittle Cracker Jack Shake and said it could be made vegan. They use coconut reddi whip.
Read moreIt was as indulgent as I wanted it to be, even if you don't get the cake anymore.
The Vegan Falafel Burger was the only vegan entree option, but it was a very solid choice.
Highly recommended spot to go to with meat eat friends, I was with my dad and he said everything was great.
Pros: Food quality , Fun atmosphere , Great to go to with non-vegan friends
Cons: limited options , no more vegan cake shake , no clear menu markings of the vegan shake options

Disappointing overall. And no more vegan milkshakes - Edit
The menu appears to have changed lately compared to what I've seen previously. The falafel burger can apparently be made fully vegan (complete with vegan feta and vegan bun), and there is a cauliflower burger which can be made vegan as well. However, when I went they were out of the falafel burger so only the cauliflower burger was an option. I was surprised they didn't appear to have Beyond or Impossible options at a burger joint.
Read moreI did NOT see a vegan shake on the menu. I didn't specifically ask about it, but I would be surprised if they still offered it without any mention of it on the menu. So if you're coming her specifically for the over-the-top vegan milkshake, you may be disappointed. They used to have a vegan Nashville hot portobello burger too but that was unfortunately taken off the menu as well.
I ended up getting the cauliflower burger since it was the only choice and it was pretty disappointing. The outer edge of it was crispy, but the center was mushy. The fries weren't even good either.
Wait times are long--we got there at 4:30, well before the main dinner rush, and we still had to wait 30 minutes for a table. If we had gotten there at say 6 we easily could have waited 60-90 minutes.
Our booth wasn't clean (there was a piece of lettuce on my seat) and service was slow and kind of pushy. I get that the waiter needs to make tips but it felt like he was a used car salesman trying to upsell us on drinks and stuff. (To be fair, the cocktails were probably the best part of the meal, those were actually decent.)
Overall, for the prices we paid and the fact that it's in a tourist resort in a city renowned for its dining, I was expecting a slightly classier experience with better food. But what we actually got was an overpriced and overhyped Johnny Rocket's with fewer vegan options than they used to have. Not worth the wait or the premium pricing...I honestly would have rather gone to the actual Johnny Rocket's in the same building.
Pros: good cocktails, some vegan options but less than before
Cons: overpriced, mediocre food, slow and pushy service, table was dirty

It's LV so of course it's expensive. But the vegan falafel burger (with vegan feta!) was really good! They also had a few sides which might be vegan.

Good Food, expensive - Edit
We had the impossible burger vegan style. The patty was medium and the burger tasted very good. Portion size was immense.
Read moreThe food and beer are very expensive. They charge an extra 3$ for veganizing the impossible burger (usually comes with cow milk cheese). -> 23$ just for a burger with fries.
Furthermore, we ended up eating at the bar, as the text message for our table wasn‘t received by my phone and the table was given away. After waiting for 50 min and asking for the table, they only offered us, to put us back on the end of the list (waiting time another 35min). We declined.
Service at the bar was very good.

Impossible burger, basic but expensive - Edit
I’ve had better. Literally just a burger, bun, vegan cheeze (& a garlic aioli?) & decent fries. Burger very dry & over cooked. Expensive but it’s a restaurant within the Venetian hotel.
Read moreSlightly put off by the massive cake shakes coming out of the kitchen, not something we could or would want to eat! There’s a vegan option but not for me I’m afraid. We’re from UK so we are not used to US portion sizes!

Had the Impossible All-American burger. As much as it pains me to admit, with so much meat and dairy around, it was a great burger. One of the best I've ever had. For a city of this size and popularity, LV (particularly the Strip) needs to do better, though. Hopefully it is since my last visit just over two years ago.

Tasty Portobello Burger - Edit
I ordered the Vegan Nashville Hot and really enjoyed it. The breaded portobello was crunchy and savory and overall really good. It had a little heat to it which I always enjoy.

cool milkshakes - Edit
i loved how i got to partake in the fun milkshakes, but the vegan chocolate one wasn’t really that good… i know vegan milkshakes don’t need to lack in flavor and creaminess just bc there’s not dairy but this just wasn’t it. the cake on top wasn’t too good either. it felt like a waste of calories but i’m glad they even had a vegan option tbh!!! and it was super photogenic of course :)

My black bean burger and greens were so so. I would like to have had more than a tablespoon of quinoa too. My friend ordered chips and queso. She ate a couple of chips and stopped because it was so bad.

Yummy - Edit
We came to Black Tap because others in my group had heard about their crazy milkshakes. They are indeed epically crazy! Everyone else in the group had those. I was happy there was anything vegan at a burger and milkshake place and was pleasantly surprised and the quality and care in my burger and fries. Prices weren’t outrageous for Vegas either. Everyone left happy. We’d go back.
