Uniquely Awesome - Edit
Black Sheep Lounge is nothing short of an awesomely unique atmosphere to go and chill and have a bite to eat. They often have live music; and if not, ask Lucas to play you something....he is not only a great host, but a truly talented musician.

This is definitely the place to be if you are looking for a unique vibe and have a NEED for excellent coffee, delicious food and a friendly atmosphere.

Overrated and Poor Quality - Edit
Odd odor noticeable once you walk through the front door, which was not just a normal restaurant smell. Maybe the trash still had to be taken out or something? The guy who took our order came off as trying too hard, someone who may take himself too seriously, which was off-putting.
Read moreTo make up for this, I thought, maybe the price meant better quality food, but nope. Turns out, the food wasn't even warm and was too liquid-y. The coffee, in one word: "blehh".
Place needs redecorating badly. Who actually likes to stay in a dim, dreary gray/black environment? Not me. Crappy experience, crappy "lounge".

Cons: Too expensive for poor quality, Food and drink were sub-par, Service, odor, ugly decor, etc.

Great Veg Options - Edit
I like the peace of mind of a separate vegetarian/vegan part on the menu. I got the vegan ramen and felt good knowing that I didn't have to worry about beef broth or other animal ingredients. Lukas is very welcoming, accommodating, and kind. Lovely atmosphere at this cafe, I will be back often!

Best Restaurant in Welland, Ont - Edit
#1 of 101 in trip advisor. About 1/2 of small menu on the right side of the chalk board are vegan or vegetarian. As you enter restaurant, the owner, Luke greets you and helps you choose the best choice for you. Luke gladly made a menu item on the left meat side vegan for me - Singapore rice. It was very tasty. You order from Luke and pay at counter near door as you enter. Service is very fast. Luke delivers your meal to the table and refills your beverages. They have specialty coffees and a vegan desert which I did not try. The cafe setting is simple and pleasant. There is a small stage for events. The walls are covered with local art work which is for sale. The food is organic and/or Niagara local ingredients. It is one block from the famous Welland lift bridge at Main and Niagara and the bike/walking Niagara Circle Trek Trail. It is also walking distance to Merritt Island recreational area that has trails, playground, washrooms. Free Wi-Fi. Family friendly. Nice restrooms.
