Very tasty vegan pizza if a little on the expensive side, definitely worth a stop for a treat. Also had vegan dessert and vegan macarons which we didn't try as were stuffed ☺️

Very good vegan Pizza - Edit
We had the vegan pizza with black crust. I added cherry tomatoes. It was very good and because of the black crust special. Also the dessert was super good as well (hot brownie with vegan vanilla ice cream).

Their vegan pizza surpassed my expectations! I got to taste the date pesto beforehand and I strongly recommend it! It would've been cool though, if they had more vegan items on the menu, especially a black crust pizza!

Delightful surprise in town - Edit
I did no research prior to my visit to Vík, I assumed I'd be eating items straight out of the grocery store the whole time. Boy was I surprised by this place! Not only did they have a tasty completely veg pizza option, they even had local vegan macarons?!? Like what!!?? We had an airbnb right next to the black sand beach so we picked up our food and enjoyed dinner at "home." Def recommend!!

One vegan pizza - but it was good and creative - Edit
I can see that the date pesto they put on their pizza can be divisive, but I personally really enjoy when people dare to be creative with their vegan menu items. Too often the one vegan option on a menu is bland and tasteless. Plus, I genuinely think it tasted really good and balanced out the rest of the toppings nicely. You can ask to taste it when ordering, and they can leave it off if you don't like it. Would be awesome if they had at least one more vegan pizza, maybe with a black crust.

The one option didn't do it for me. - Edit
There's only one vegan option, and I didn't verify but got the strong sense that they don't know what rennet is and the dairy cheese wasn't vegetarian. The vegan pizza used a date sauce which was too sweet for me; they called it pesto but there wasn't anything pesto about it. Otherwise, the toppings, incl the fake cheese, was but sprinkled on. I think if they didn't call it pizza, but sweet date flatbread or such (and priced accordingly), I'd give it a higher rating.

As per menu, only one of the sour dough pizzas is vegan - we had our pizza customized to have a black crust and it was amazing. Looked like there was lava coming of of the crust, which made it even better regarding the area Vík is located. Was not sure what to expect from the date pesto, but it was soo good!

We went there for dinner on 2 days. There is a vegan option and many of the non veg pizzas can be made vegetarian. Day 1 we got the spicy tuna modified with the barbecue soy nuggets- it was superb! So we went there the second night. They were very busy, our food ( just one pizza)arrived an hour late, no black crust and pizza was kind of soggy. Part of the issue to be fair I think was that it was different individual making the pizza the second day. But I would still recommend this place for the choices it offers.

Got their #10. It was tasty - the soy “pork” was delicious. The date pesto was pretty sweet and sometimes overly so but overall a great pizza.
Read moreThey also have vegan macaroons made in town, but when I asked they said they would take about an hour to prepare because they’re frozen. So if you want some be sure to order when you first arrive.
