Pricey and disappointing vegan options - Edit
The food here is very expensive. There was one vegan sweet option that was tiny and expensive and the only vegan thing on the menu was a falafel salad, which I didn’t fancy.

We split the falafel salad and enjoyed a chai and oat milk latte. The salad was good. Unfortunately the soup of the day was not vegan.

We stopped by through Akureyri and ate at Bláa Kennan. It obviously is a very popular spot because it was packed! The line was long but moved fast however finding a table was difficult. We lucked out but multiple people were standing around waiting for a table to open up so we ate quickly.
Read moreI order the soup of the day that was a cauliflower soup. It was very good with lots of chunky veggies in the bottom. The GF bread was really good, as well.

The falafel salad was the only vegan option when I visited but it was actually surprisingly good. Probably because the tomatoes and salad were fresh as they are grown in Iceland in the geothermal greenhouses.
