Japanese
Beer/Wine
Take-out
Non-veg
Serves meat, vegan options available. Japanese cuisine (noodle, rice, and soup) and sushi bar. Nice atmosphere but gets busy on weekends. Owner is a master sushi chef and conscious of vegetarian and vegan diners. All baked desserts are vegan, and there are a few vegan sushi items. The vegan chef's salad has tempeh, smoked tofu, and hijiki seaweed. Miso soup can sometimes be made vegan - ask. Open Mon-Tue 12:30pm-2:30pm, Mon-Sun 5:00pm-9:00pm, Wed-Fri 12:00pm-2:30pm, Sat-Sun 12:00pm-3:00pm.

Amazing vegan options - would give them a 5 if permitted - Edit
Tons of vegan options, loved their sushi and appetizers! Our group split a bunch of dishes including the squash tempura, edamame, bizen busketeer roll, silence of the yams roll, buddha roll (never had lotus root before, but omg the crunchy lotus root was delicious), and some "standard" rolls like avocado, cucumber, etc. We loved everything and appreciated having so many options! I'd give them a 5 but respect Happy Cow's rating system (which reserves 5 star reviews for fully vegan or vegetarian locations).

Would give FIVE STARS - Edit
Conscientious and clean preparation, excellent food. We had the Buddha roll, the caterpillar roll, two different yam rolls, and a new one called Busketeer. we loved everything and will eat here again.

Excellent sushi - Edit
Very nice atmosphere and wildly extensive menu with many vegan options. I had a fat sushi roll with coconut encrusted tempeh, avocado, tomato and watercress (I think). Very good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Server was stretched a bit thin so ordering was slow. Friendly and eager to please however. Service is the only reason for my 4 rating. Food was a 5.

Excellent food with tons of vegan/vegetarian options - Edit
The menu is full of delightful options for vegan and vegetarian diners, most of which are vegan since there is not a lot of dairy used at limited egg. The food is truly exceptional and service is great. The menu is clearly marked when items have vegetarian and vegan optionality.

imaginative Japanese food - Edit
I am surprised this restaurant has not yet been reviewed. We love going there when visiting the Berkshires. It is close to Tanglewood. There are many vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, and some are very imaginative and tasty (try the yaki mochi, fried rice "cake" in seaweed, the special rolls such as the Buddha roll, the seitan skewers, the steamed greens topped with black sesame seeds, and above all, the excellent dairy-free desserts!).
