Fully vegan bistro in the heart of Copenhagen. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Menu changes quarterly, but usually there is pasta, bowls, traditional smørrebrød and burgers on the menu along with other options. Breakfast served 9-11:30am. Also has a dish of the day. Open Mon-Sun 09:00-23:00. Kitchen closes 9.30pm.

Best restaurant I’ve ever been too - Edit
Best food I’ve ever had with great ambiance and kind staff. Went twice when in Copenhagen. Once for breakfast where I got the tofu scramble on toast with an americano and danish. All of it was amazing! Went back for an apérol spritz, pasta carbonara, and tiramisu. All vegan and divine! Must visit!

We had the only two dishes that I found sort of interesting: the Frikadeller (Danish meat balls) and the Farmer's stew. Otherwise, they had a Caesar's Salad, a couple of Buddha Bowls and a burger.

The stew was lacking some salt (but that was easy to fix).
For desserts, we had the praliné (which was actually just coconut coated with chocolate) and the Flødebolle (made by Glean bakery). We would have liked to try something more creative (there was also a carrot cake, a raw cheesecake and an affogato).
The service was fantastic, and the location is perfect.

Christmas Dinner - Edit
We stopped in here just before they closed for their Christmas break. Indulged in the three course Christmas Dinner. The first dish was an open faced sandwich (smørebrød) with two types of vegan fish and a remoulade. Second dish was a seitan meatloaf with jam and gravy, roast potatoes and green beans. The roast was good, the green beans were amazing. Final course was a risalamande. The whole meal was great.
Read moreMy wife had the oyster mushroom small plate, that was fantastic. Cornmeal crust that was so good. And followed that up frikadeller classic, which was good - but she had hoped that it would have had some sweet element to round out the plate. If they hadn’t closed for Christmas we would have gone back again.

I think their breakfast menu is an abridged version due to the time of year but it was still good! Tasty panini and side salad. Their coffee is good too! I’ll probably come back to try their lunch or dinner.
Read moreCame back for lunch and got the winter Buddha bowl. It was great! I loved their tempeh and kale in particular—very flavorful. They have considerably more options for lunch and dinner this time of year so I might come back again to try more of their menu.

Nordic options, but lacks flavor - Edit
Decent food with a few traditional Nordic options. This is the first place in Copenhagen I’ve seen with a solid vegan take on local dishes.
Read moreI tried the winter stew and Buddha bowl and both were nice, but lacking in flavor. The Buddha bowl was better flavor wise. It’s mostly raw veggies, and the Brussels sprouts at least were tasty. The stew was what really fell flat. I did still really enjoy a warm stew on a chilly winter evening, but it really needed at the very least some salt.
I also tried the traditional Christmas almond rice pudding (rislamande) and found it to be the worst out of the 5-6 vegan ones I’ve tried so far (lacked flavor and cherry sauce. The texture also felt like eating whipped butter with overcooked rice in it—not pleasant).
Overall, it’s not a bad spot and I’d recommend it if you’re on the search for nice vegan food in central Copenhagen. I personally would not mind returning, but it won’t be at the top of my list.

Read moreThe vegan smoked salmon is to die for and it’s on a few of their menu options. I also had the fried oyster mushrooms with aioli and again it was fantastic! My gf had the tomato soup and said it was super flavoursome.
We took away a cinnamon roll and it was melt in the mouth delicious!

Tasty meals and cozy atmosphere (Juicy Marble Steak) - Edit
We were four people dining at Bistro Verde in the spring of 2023. All the dishes were very tasty, however the platings for the Juicy Marble Steam and Pasta Carbonara are a bit small. The taste and the atmosphere will nonetheless bring this review to 5/5.

We came here before walking around nyhavn & loved everything we had! The soy yogurt with fresh fruit and granola was delightful!! The flødeboller was super yummy & the spandauer was sweet but delicious. Good coffee too!

Superb vegan steak - Edit
We visited while on vacation in Copenhagen and loved our meal. We both had the salmon style blinis, the Juicy Marbles steak, and a Flødeboller (I gave it my best shot, the waiter was very forgiving with my pronunciation). The meal was phenomenal but the vegan steak in particular was top tier. It was so satisfying and really tasty! I wasn't expecting it to be so convincing, we were pretty impressed at the flavour and texture. Thanks for a great visit!
