Je suis allée bruncher, et c’était magnifique. J’ai goûté la gaufre salée avec des champignons. Les champignons de ce plat était merveilleux: salé, umami, et riches. La sauce était un plaisir et la salade de poire parfait. J’ai aimé la gaufre aussi, mais it n’était la raison pour le plat!
Read moreMon mari a mangé les tacos de petit déjeuner, et le tofu, c’est incroyable. Il y a une promotion les week-ends pour les mimosas: 2 pour $15! Le seulement déçu est ce resto n’est pas bon pour les gens qui évitent le gluten. J’espère que ils offrent un ou deux plats sans gluten à l’avenir.

This city has many vegan restaurants, but Tendresse has the best food. Service is also warm and attentive. The patio has large umbrellas for protection from the weather.

After our tour of Old Montreal, our Guide, Andre of Montreal Excursions, recommended we give Tendresse a try. So he made reservations that night for the tree of us, well actually four of us because he brought his beautiful rescued puppy. So yes, Tendresse is dog friendly when dinning outside!

We ordered the Calamari (actually mushrooms made like calamari), tacos, scalloped potatoes, and cauliflower dishes. The food was excellent, and the staff very friendly. Since we could not figure out what bottle of wine to start with, they even let us do a small impromptu wine tasting of 3 different open bottles. Never had a restaurant offer to do that before. They even kept a smile on their faces when Andre started smashing plates because the calamari was devoured in a hurry and was gone. Just kidding Andre, but everyone really needs to try the calamari. If I did not know it was a vegan restaurant, I would have thought the calamari was the real thing. We also had chocolate cake dessert paired with the Madeira (similar to a Porto) which were both delicious and paired so nicely together.

Had an absolutely stellar meal there shared between 4 adults and a 13 year old. The tastes were maybe a bit too mature of the teen, but the rest of us loved our dinner. Fresh, tasty, visually appealing. The staff were lovely, kind, and knowledgeable about the wines and the food. One of the best Vegan meals I’ve had in a restaurant since the pandemic started. Favourites were the gazpacho. The waffle, the pavé (and especially the veg on the side of the pavé). The glass of Cabernet franc I had was also stellar: rich, full bodied, smooth. The only dish I didn’t love was the king oyster mushroom « calamari », which I found just plain. Being allergic to all seafood, I’ve never ever eaten a real calamari, but my dining companions assured me this dish was « just like the real thing ». If the real thing is that bland, I am not sorry I’m allergic. Maybe it’s a matter of personal taste? They all loved it. There’s one dish the chef made for us off menu - edamame felafel with a crisp fennel salad (dressing made of black garlic and apple cider vinegar) which was absolutely stellar and I sincerely hope makes it to the menu soon so you can try it, too.

Best vegan food I’ve had in Montreal. The brunch is really nice, especially the stuffed croissants with tater tots. They also have a special price during brunch hours for Mimosas.

Absolutely delicious food and cocktails. One of us has a gluten allergy, and the GF options included brussel sprouts, cauliflower, pavé and rice gnocchi pasta. We ordered the dumplings tacos and the brussel sprouts pasta and everything was beautiful and delicious. We also got the Aperol Spritz and Cactus cocktails which were delicious.

The vegan calamari are amazing chewy with a delicious dipping sauce.
The waffles were amazing too, a bit on the sweet side but perfectly accompanied with some acidity from the lemon and balsamic vinegar and pickled salad.
I was just very full as I decided to order to order the table d’hôtes which includes soup , main dish and a drink
I absolutely recommend adding this place when visiting Montreal

We loved everything we had. We had almost the full menu as we shared our food and the menu was small (which I always enjoy, I prefer a small menu with well made food than a big menu with average food). My preference goes to the savory waffles which were incredible! Tbh everything was good but those waffles… I still dream of it 🤤

Definitely book! Food was devine, so too the cocktails. Went in for 6pm and thirty minutes later the place was full - makes me so happy seeing so many people eating vegan food and supporting vegan businesses….with a menu like theirs it’s no wonder they are doing so well!
