delicious food and great service - Edit
My yoga friends and I had a lovely meal at Bistro 'o Porto In 2017. There was a great selection of veggie/vegan meals compared to other places visited in Tavira and even a vegan desert (which I was most happy to see). The staff were very friendly and pleasant and a good selection of wines also.
Read moreI revisited Tavira and was so happy to find this restaurant again in a new location in Tavira. I came across it by chance whilst trying to find a cash machine. It was just as good as the last time I visited, a little gem for any vegan out there. Lovely environment and friendly. If you are vegan in Tavira you must pay them a visit.

Good food - Edit
We were here last week and were pleasantly surprised that it was an all vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. My boyfriend and I went all out and had a 3 course-meal. Both our starters (courgette rolls & bread with goat cheese and marinated cherry tomatoes) were good. I had the lasagne and it was oke, didn't like the salad that went with it, but ate it anyway. My boyfriend had the dish of the day, pasta with a curry sauce and thought it was good. We shared the vegan cheesecake, which was very good. Portionsizes were fine, prices are a bit high for Portugese standards but more or less the same that we pay in Holland for a decent meal in a mid-class restaurant. The service was very good! The waitress was very nice and spoke English very well. We even talked about Happy Cow (she didn't know what it was) because she asked how we found this bistro. She even wanted to recommend us other good restaurants with veg options in the neighbourhood.

Super Fresh yummy food in a small tourist town! - Edit
Great simple food with vibrant ingredients. Had stuffed mushroom and veggie pasta. Absolutely loved them. Only wish portion size was bigger. Cheesecake also was amazing and massive! Very nice service. appreciate their good English and English menu too :)

Terrible meals - Edit
Travelled all across Portugal and have eaten many vegan meals. This was the worst place we have dined at.
Read moreReally unhappy with every meal. Lasagne was luke warm and not great.
Hummus was dry along with baba ganoush. Vegie burger was tiny with few bits of rocket and no bun? I had a salad which consisted of rocket and some garnish.
Wine was cheep tasting. Smoothies were ok and orange juice.
Service was ok.
Basically all left fealing very empty in the stomach after four meals and 47euros.
Pros: None
Cons: very expensive for poor quality light meals.

Fantastic food - Edit
This place is a real gem in the Algarve, where good veggie food can be hard to find. The food is fantastic - not cheap by Portuguese standards, but well worth it. We enjoyed delicious vegan options every time we visited.
Read moreIt's a small restaurant, run by a friendly couple, and has a great vibe, nice decor and good background music. Hope to be back!

Good food, good people, but high priced for quantity of food - Edit
Went there with my 2 kids.
Read moreMeal for 2 adults and 2 small kids it was 38 euro.
Staff was very nice and helpful.
Kids loved the pasta with tomato sauce and parmesan and were keen to be back.
We had the risotto and some pastry with peppers.
The food is good, better than many veggie restaurants, and but as said the relationship between price/quantity is not very good. We were still hungry when we left which is something that never happens anywhere.
Pasta w/ sauce for kids was 10 eur which is a high price in Portugal for a plate of well... boild pasta...
It did not have other costumers and there are no other veggie restaurants in the area, so I truly appreciate their effort.
Pros: Good food, Good staff, Great spot away from the bustle
Cons: Quantity was very little , both me and hubby were

absolutely delicious - Edit
Hands down best vegan meal I've had in Portugal. This bistro is vegetarian with a lot of vegan options on the menu. We were a mix of vegetarians and vegans and ordered the chickpea tagine, the broccoli special and the gnocchi. All were extremely flavourful and delicious. We ended the meal with vegan brownies and homemade fig cocoa ice cream.
Read moreThe staff was warm and welcoming and the bistro is in a fantastic location right along the river (although there was some construction going on along the riverfront at the time of our visit). Highly recommend.
