Est April 2021, part of the Ark Collection, Bistro Lupa is a green michelin starred and bib gourmand restaurant, located in østerbro. It has also been awarded the highest recognition of 6 Hearts in Danish Newspaper Politiken in 2021. Food takes inspiration from seasons and what can be foraged in the local environment. Set menus on Thursdays and Weekends, and both a la carte and set menus available all other opening days. Serves predominately local & seasonal cuisine, but does offer some dishes from around the globe. Open Mon-Wed 17:00-22:00, Fri 17:00-22:00, Sat 12:00-15:00, 17:00-23:00.

We had an amazing experience at Bistro Lupa celebrating our anniversary! We had the 5-course set menu, and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and creativity of each dish! Another restaurant in the Souls group (like Ark), formerly a Souls family restaurant recently re-opened in a Bistro style that demonstrates you can make plant-based food that is just.... great food. So many of the bits and pieces are made from scratch, combined in ways that just make you want to come back and try something else on the menu. Worth a trip.

Had a wonderful experience at Bistro Lupa. The concept of having a fully vegan fine dining taster menu was too good to pass up. Although the price was expensive (about £53 a person), we were glad to have gone and experienced an excellent meal! The dishes were unique and the ambiance was relaxing (though we felt like our table was very close to the people next to us). One negative was that we were charged for our still (most likely) tap water. Be prepared to spend a lot of money here, but equally to have some excellent food.

Loved the atmosphere in the restaurant and the very friendly and nice staff explaining everything down to what month and place the chives was picked (eveberything is very locally grown with sustainability in mind) the food was great and not the typical lazy vegan food, no you will get something unique and seasonal!

Went for dinner a second time in July 2022. This is an a lot vegan restaurant. The menu is slightly different depending on when in the week you visit - we went on Saturday night which was a set / tasting menu. They say they update the menu approximately every 6 months.

Delicious tasting menu with 5 courses with great service! So much attention is paid to all the details. Personally wasn’t a big fan of the southern fried mushroom course since the pieces were quite chewy, almost rubbery but the rest of of meal certainly made up for that. The panna cotta is absolutely unforgettable! I’m still thinking about it months later!

I had the five course menu in the evening, outside in the sitting area at the square. The food was interesting, high effort put in different textures, two of the dishes (the main dish and dessert) were well combined and balanced in taste. The other dishes were in my opinion either too salty or bland.
Read moreThe service was unfortunately not good. I got dirty plates and cutlery two times, and had to ask repeatedly to have it replaced with clean. The waitress didn't know anything about the wines and was surprised when I wanted to try a sip of it before she poured a full glass. They started to serve the food before the wine had been served, I have never encountered that at any other restaurant. I ordered an espresso to go with the dessert, but it was not served at the same time either so the coffe had gone bad by the time the dessert arrived.
They charged me 250 DKK too much, and when I told the waitress she first claimed it was because I had payed with card in a different currency. After she spoke to the manager she repaid me 240 DKK, so not the full amount.
The seating at the square was nice, surrounded by beautiful buildings.
I was expecting a much better experience and professional service at this place, and perhaps the staff just had a really bad day or had too much stress. I probably will not go there again though.

The staff has a very professional yet friendly and informative attitude towards you. They could adapt the meals for me without soy (because Im allergic) with ease. The meals were colourful and balanced with different flavours complementing each other. I love the luxery vegan consept and the nordic relaxed atmosphere in regards to the interior.

We had the five-course tasting menu with the addition of a deep-fried blue oyster mushroom. The latter, which they presented as their signature dish was actually the least impressive. The potato salad starter was an exquisite composition, and the pannacotta dessert was absolutely sublime. Kudos for offering a fine-dining experience where all food and beverage options are vegan. We’ll have to try their Michelin starred sister restaurant (also all-vegan!) next time!

We were well received by Geiner, our waitress. She welcomed us with a big smile as we walked in the door.
She took us to our table where she told about Bistro Lupa’s vision for example with sustainable and their own mushroom cultivation.
We chose their menu “3 course experience”
Starter: Sauteed curly kale
Main course: Milk Bread Sandwich
Dessert: Dessert of the day “Noisette”
We added “Southern Fried Blue Oyster Mushrooms”
We choose their homemade kombucha with chamomile as drinks.
The food was just spot on, super delicious and very well combined - the service was top notch and the surroundings lovely and relaxed.
Bistro LUPA is definitely worth a visit, but REMEMBER to book a table well in advance!
Next time we will definitely try their evening menu.
