Family-run Hari Krishna restaurant where plates of the day are decided by the owner. The whole restaurant is vegan with the choice of making everything vegetarian. Popular takeaway counter offering baked and fried treats like empanadas, pastels, coxinhas and cakes (all made-in-house). Confirmed closed April 2025.

Barriga Chega, curaçao feliz

A little hidden gem to take some respite from the busy streets. This restaurant is small in size but big in heart. They don't have a menu but instead to plates of the day which change every two weeks so you don't know what you get until you go on an adventure with your belly. You won't be disappointed with the quality or the portions size and all of this for a fixed low price, including dessert and a fresh juice.

If this wasn't enough, the whole restaurant is vegan with vegetarian options boasting a very popular takeaway away counter stuffed full of tasty baked and fried treats like empadas, pastels, coxinhas and cakes all homemade.

If you are in the area then don't leave without paying your avo Damodara and her family a visit.

If you need a memory to take away with you there is even a little shop attached for all your spiritual needs and clothes that leave you feeling namastè.

Pros: Made with love with the right mindset, Drink and small dessert included in the price, Lovely, lovely people.

Cons: No choices for food (not a big problem), Sold out of tasty vegan pastries :p
