Biscoito

Good environment, tried the vegan burger. It was to simple to me. Just the burger with 4 leafs of rucula and a few slices of carrot without any kind of sauce or other vegetable or vegan cheese. If you are looking for a good vegan burger, search for the iron duke, it has a vegan burger way better.
Maybe I will try other dishes next time.. They have vegan lasanha and traditional Portuguese sausage with chick peas.

Pros: Environment

Cons: The burger was too simple

Yummy vegan dishes

Super nice place, staff really friendly! Chef is vegan since 11 years. Went twice and got their vegan lasagna and chickpea bowl - both super tasty! Their vegan chocolate brownie was the best brownie I have tried, YUM! 😍

Chickpea bake

Lovely little cafe tucked away a couple of streets away from the fish market and hustle and bustle. Last week I tried the chickpea bake (version of Traditional sausage chickpea bake), which was very nice, along w a lovely glass of red. My husband enjoyed the vegan burger

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Tasty food, lovely owner and relaxed atmosphere

Travelling from Ireland around Spain and Portugal I am always on the lookout for vegan options. My boyfriend eats meat so this little cafe was perfect for both of us. And we both ended up getting the traditional Portuguese (vegan) dish which was beautifully cooked and so tasty! We would certainly recommend this lovely place!

Pros: Vegan brownie, Relaxed atmosphere, Friendly host

Okay Restaurant, wouldn't rely on for nutrition

Nice restaurant which is very quiet and somewhat distanced from the very touristy city center. It has a really interesting interior, mostly with heart-shaped decoration.

Went there and had a vegan burger which was okay (read: not as good as expected). When I arrived in Aveiro, I was really hungry since I hadn't found a good vegan restaurant for days. In this situation the servings appeared very small, but I may have been biased.

Pros: Had vegan food, when all other places were closed

Cons: small portion size

(New owners) Place became just OK...

Upd. 2017

The place is just OK... Last time I was there (after changing the owner) I didn't like it much. They cook meat dishes (burgers, traditional sausages) and the whole place smells like meat... Yuuucckkkk...

Biscoito is a lovely place in the heart of Aveiro. It serves some vegetarian snacks, and it can even be veganized if requested.

The owner - Lara - is super sweet, and was very welcoming. She suggested I take a mushroom sandwich, and it was a good choice indeed. Bread was the best part - fresh, organic, and shaped as heart. Loved it!

Thanks for great food! We will be back :)

Worth 5 Stars

Great little restaurant, serving up 4 vegan dishes. Staff will translate the Portuguese menu for you. Had the vegan burger which was delicious, and very reasonably priced! They also do workshops here - they'd had one earlier in the day on veganising traditional Portuguese food. Definitely visit here when you're in Aveiro!

Eat here. HCow's 4-star limit doesn't do this place justice

Serves meat, but plenty of delicious veggie/vegan options in a town that isn't particularly veggie-friendly. The owner speaks great English and was very happy to talk to us about the food, local craft beers, and the town. Well worth the visit

Pros: staff, beer selection

Nice surprise

Was walking in the streets of Aveiro when I came across with this place. Saw the ad of vegan food and obviously had to enter. Was basically my 2nd lunch that day so I only had room for 1 hamburger. Was really nice and well made. Not expensive in my opinion. Gonna return for sure

Small place but great food

Great place for a snack or an actual meal. There are some vegan options but the vegetarian ones can be veganized. The staff was very nice and helpful. Overall a great place to visit in Aveiro if you are vegan or vegetarian
