Serves meat, vegan options available. Garden Centre with a restaurant offering a vegan menu. Always has at least four vegan dishes including a breakfast, soup and a burger. Also has a vegan cake and soy milk for coffee and tea. Open Mon-Sat 09:00-16:00, Sun 09:30-16:00. Breakfast till 11, light lunch 11-3, lunch 12-3.

Visited today after happening upon this place while passing after visiting Yarrow Valley Country Park.

Decided to have dinner/lunch in the cafe. Was initially given the standard menu only to see the only option was Vegan chilli on a jacket potato. There was a specials menu attached that also had Vegan Meatball sub.
I then spotted a sign that said vegan menu available so asked a member of staff for it.
I was given a menu and told that it doesn't actually start until tomorrow but the chef had said that they do have most of the options available now. It was a tough choice but I went for the Warm vegetable flat bread. This was very tasty, I think it was the Violife cheese. Very nicely presented and the chips were good too.
Didn't have a hot drink but the menu advises Soya and Almond milk is an extra 30p.
Cakes wise they only had 2 vegan options which were a lemon tart (looked like the 'We Love Cake' branded one) and a homemade Flapjack. Sadly didn't have room for cake!
Prices a little high but it was a nice experience over all. The dining area is nicely decorated and has a special seating area if you are just having coffee and cake.

Good vegan options. - Edit
There's a new vegan menu at Birkacre Garden Centre and it's really good. The vegetable Wellington was absolutely delicious. There's always a vegan cake (this time 'lemon'), sometimes more than one.
Read moreI've had the burger and Mediterranean tart before and they're tasty. Vegan breakfast also very good.
Their presentation is good, good value for money too. All food prepared on the premises.
It's best to book during busy times, it does have lots of seating, but popular.
Pros: At least 4 vegan options
Cons: Sometimes only one cake available
