Serves meat, vegan options available. An organic restaurant, shop and café at the same time. The veg options are not labeled, but on the menu you can find mousse au chocolat from silken tofu, in addition to tempeh, seitan, and the like. Vegans to specify and staff will check on vegan ingredients. The restaurant is mostly decorated in purple and pink, and the shop/tea area is mostly white and green. Both areas stylish and clean. One of the only vegan option in the touristic town of Saint-Malo. REPORTED CLOSED TO HAPPYCOW, JULY 2012.

Superb food and great ambience in a pretty town - Edit
The french know how to cook, this is a known fact. But in the pittoresque town of Saint Malo, between the city walls, there is a true treasure hidden.
Biotea Cook is a restaurant that serves organic food and is very vegetarian and even vegan friendly, something that's important for us, since we're both vegetarians. It's important to have a good choice on the menu and Bioteacook has a good selection of vegetarian options.
The food itself is amazing. It's very original (I've never been in a restaurant that serves bulgur), suprising and things I've never tasted before. Both the starters we had (melon soup and a very nice creamy leek soup) set the expectation level high: can this be topped with the main dish? And yes, they could! The risotto was the exact kind of creamy, and with a sweet "coating". There's also a lot of care taken in the presentation; it also looks very good. The price was more than reasonable for the quality you get.
What's also worth to mention is that the service is also very accessible for people who can't speak French. The waiter speaks English well and the menu is also in English. The ambience is very warm, due to the use of purple and the playful furniture design.
Pros: vegetarian, vegan, also english

good all around - Edit
enfin un restaurant avec une vrais option vegetalienne et vegetarienne a st malo believe me i am getting tired of vegetable plate !!!! this place will even put tofu instead of seitan if you are intolerant to gluten and even my carnivor partner went for the veggy starter. bref je recommende surtout si vous avez un groupe mixe carnivore veggy. deco mieux pour le soir ou jour pluvieux Service tres agreable et flexible
Pros: well balance option, calm and welcoming staff, cosy
Cons: main restaurant a bit dark for the day

VVF = Very Vegan Friendly - Edit
In a city where seafood is almost a lifestyle, it was heaven to find a place where the owners understood us when we talked about seitan, lentils and vegan requirements!
Call ahead or stop-by to explain you're vegan and the chef will bend backwards to prepare a tasty, gourmet fare.
We gave them "carte blanche" and had a delightful meal consisting of a creamy (soy) lentil soup, risotto and chocolate fondue.
Definitely a place we'd recommend in a very nice and comfortable setting.
The shop next to the restaurant also offers take-away food.
The chef is also very aware of food allergies and other requirements such as Gluten Free, Fat Free, Sugar Free, etc.
Pros: Gourmet, Setting, Friendly staff
