We stumbled across BioMania in Bol and were blown away by the service, the food and the location! Everything from the handmade local pottery used for their herbal teas (who they shared details of the maker in Zagreb and even contacted them on our behalf for a pottery workshop), to the quality of their locally sourced produce and extensive vegan menu! The staff were so friendly and spoke fantastic English, they made us feel really valued and all the little extra touches they went to will leave a lasting impression! We would highly recommend this restaurant to any vegan traveller!

Delicious food, lovely poeple - Edit
The food is all vegan, organic, local and delicious. It's pricy but it's worth it. The poeple are super nice and the ambience is awesome with a nice view on the sea. We've been there twice. The omelette, the cesar's salad, the BioMania Burger and the truffle gnocchies were all super tasty. Also check out the street food place at Zlatni rat.

Visited Bol for one day and ate at BioMania Bistro twice. The food was fantastic and all the people there are super friendly. The ambience on the restaurant terrace overlooking the sea was also gorgeous 😍 the food is all vegan, local and delicious. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you so much for this great day😄we also checked out their street food place at the beach, which was perfect for a snack at the beach😄

Good:
• The Truffle gnocchi were very tasty (: (just a bit too long in the pan maybe)
• Dates Iced Cinnamon Latte was great!
• Nice ambience & view
• affordable water
Not so good:
• Especially sad were the store-bought, bland (& as far as I know very inexpensive) crackers with the starter. Some fresh, tasteful bread would have been nice. The cherry tomatoes didn't seem ripe as well.
• Spaghetti Bolognese lacked of flavour too expensive
• Parmigiano for spaghetti needs to be ordered & paid extra on top
• Smoothies overpriced small
• The chocolate pancakes were good, but even some small amount of fruit would have been nice

Our crackers are not store-bought. We work directly with family owned business who produce this organic, gluten free crackers.
Cherry tomatoes we served were Green Zebra tomatoes so their natural color is yellow and green when fully riped.
Our smoothies are 0,35l portions which by any standards can't go as a too small portion.
We are sorry you found our Spaghetti Bolognese tasteless. This is one of our most popular dish and vast majority of our guests are thrilled with it.
To conclude, we are really happy that your overall experience was positive and we are sorry you think it was overpriced. We offer high quality, organic clean food and our prices reflect that.

The food here is simply (largely) incredible. It’s a really nice place and friendly staff. They are very helpful. The food generally is top class like I say - as in really very nice.

1. Wow it’s expensive for what it is. You have to pay for everything too - even water and ketchup. It’s a bit much and, well, it’s just a bit much. No, it’s very much.
2. The avocado toastie is in fact not a toastie, so unless you want to pay €12 for some pretty pants avo on toast then steer clear. Everything else is sweet though go right ahead.
3. The shack at the beach is a bit pants so don’t bother with that - just go get some overpriced-yet-still-cheaper-than-this-place chips from the shack opposite.
4. Have I mentioned the price? It racks up after a while. If you want chips and water on top of your beer and burger then you’re down an arm and a leg. Come with spare arms and legs and deep pockets.

we had the vegan ceasar salad (v good!) and the avocado on toast (three very small pieces). many vegan options! food was good, nice people but it was too expensive for what it was (felt like paying the „vegan tax“ and leaving hungry).

Dear customer, thanks for your positive feedback on taste, quality and service. We're aware of the fact that we are on average more expensive comparing to most of the other vegan options around. The reasons are following; all of our ingredients are ORGANIC and we are on the Island. Both of the above mentioned are substantially increasing food/beverage cost. On top of this we have much higher operational costs comparing to other restaurants (Sustainable operational practices). We would be extremely happy to cater for all of the vegan population but in our case, this is unfortunately not possible.

We did not expect to find such incredible vegan food on an island. It truly was a highlight of our holiday. We were completely blown away by the quality and taste of the food, and also the amazing service from the staff. The vegan cheese was some of the best we have ever tasted (and we have tried a lot). BioMania is a must visit if you are in Brac!

The food was amazing and staff very friendly. Also had a babychair, which was very convenient. We loved the pasta carbonara and red curry (definitely add some smoked tofu with this, makes it even better!). The home made icetea was also delicious. We will definitely come back here.

We went to the biomania bistro after going to the biomania street food stall, and we had an awsome surprise.
Read moreWe had both burgers (since we already had the red curry and the wrap at the street food stall) and they were both really good, one of the best burgers we have had.
We wanted to try the carbonara but they only serve it at dinner time.
We also ordered the mac and cheese for our daugther. Wasnt amazing like the burgers but it was good.
All the staff was really friendly and helpfull 5* to them.

Biomania bistro is wonderful. Lovely terrace overlooking the sea. Great food, a great change from all the meat and fish in this area. We’re thinking about taking another boat trip to Bol just to eat here again. The burger is phenomenal!! Be sure to try the double chocolate cake as a dessert. Great local wines!!!!

I really loved the food, it was all delicious! I ate the carbonara pasta made with tofu and it was amazing. I also had a wonderful double chocolate cake for dessert which I forgot to take a photo of in my hurry to eat it. It is a great location and sitting outside was very pretty. The only negative thing I can say is that it is quite expensive although I completely understand that this is because they use local and organic sources and you definitely get what you pay for.

So happy this was here. I went twice and had the queen bee burger for lunch one day (delicious, great ingredients, love the cheese sauce). Next morning I had an omelette and avocado toast. Wish I had taken pictures. Great cappuccino as well, they have oat milk. I was sad they were sold out of a couple pasta dishes I wanted to try (pesto and carbonara).

All vegan. Lovely setting with a gorgeous view of the harbour. We shared the cheese board to start and it was 10/10 - lovely fresh veggie, dried figs & 3 of the most delicious homemade vegan cheeses I’ve ever had. For main I had the Thai curry bowl and I was so impressed with the depth of flavour, sometimes when you get Thai food from a non Thai place it lacks flavour but this was 10/10. My fiancé had the truffle gnocchi which was also super delicious but very rich. Staff were lovely too.
