Beautiful little restaurant in beautiful little mountain town. - Edit
Found this restaurant which is kind of in the middle of nowhere by accident a few weeks ago, but it was closed. But the fact that there is a vegetarian / vegan place in a rather hard to reach small town intrigued me and I went back and thank god I did.
Read moreThey work with menus and I went for one of the vegan options and the food was just amazingly flavorful and so damn good. The owners are very nice and friendly people and all of their dishes are from farm to table, with veggies that they grow on their own farm. I'll definitely will be back a few more times before I'll leave Gran Canaria.
If you are Vegan/Vegetarian I'd say, definitely go and visit. It's quite a drive, depending on where you are staying at on GC, but it's totally worth it. Plus the whole drive up there, with all the mountains surrounding is just soooo beautiful!!!

Innovative fresh and imaginative veg and vegan cuisine in Artenara, a lovely rural beauty spot away from the hustle and bustle of Las Palmas. The crepes are vegan and delightfully delicious. 100% recommend!

Today we had lunch at RiscoCaido. A perfect place for a vegan meal if you are enjoying the island by car like we were.

It's a great place to go if you love crêpes, which the menu mainly consists of, but even if you don't, I think you will love the food.
The owners explained us the menu; you could have a combined menu with a small starter, a could soup, a filled crêpe (3 different) and drinks, or choose from the menu. We weren't that hungry so we chose from the menu one crêpe each. The filling is both sweet and salty, but we chose two special ones with tofu meatballs, and the other one with tempeh (and A LOT of other things). The "filling" was so rich, creative, decorative, tasty and plane out delicious. It is some times since I last had something so good. You almost forgot about the crepe who laid underneath, but that was also delicious. I ate every little thing on my plate.
Do go to this place, it's highly recommended.

La cercanía y trato de Sergio y Neus son excepcionales. Todo lo que probamos estaba riquísimo, y si encima es sano, más no se puede pedir. Visita obligatoria si estás en el interior de Gran Canaria. Además, está en un pueblo muy bonito que hay que visitar también.

Most wonderful place in Gran Canaria - Edit
This is one of the most, if not the most wonderful place I have found so far to go eat in all Gran Canaria!! Really, the difference is noticeable, they grow the food themselves organically, the rest they selected the best quality and taste products, they prepare it in such a LOVE and caring way, you can really taste the difference..!!! Really nourishing in all senses, home made, tasty, vegetarian and vegan, just supreme!!! Definitely worth a visit if you go or live in Gran Canaria!!! Artenara is one of the most beautiful villages in the island also!! Highly recomended, the owners are very friendly and loving!! All great!!

Read moreEven my 2 omnivore friends enjoyed our lunch in this nice restaurant very much.
We had a yummy vegan vegetable soup as a starter and than pancakes with different and very tasty sauces and dips. You can choose between vegan and vegetarian pancakes.
If you visit Gran Canaria, you would wanna have been there. You will feel more like a friend than a guest.
And Artenara is interesting, beautiful view to landscape near Roque Nublo and you can visit a museum which shows you how people lived in the cage houses.
