Bill's has loads of vegan options, and I've heard good things about a couple of their other sites, so we decided to give this one a try for brunch. We were sadly quite disappointed. They were severely understaffed, for which they have my sympathies, but that doesn't make it ok to be rude to staff. the vegan 'plant plate' breakfast was huge, but included the blandest tofu scramble in the world, and dry toast as there was no vegan spread. I had to ask 3 separate people for some ketchup and their reactions were so strange - they were so shocked by the request and seemed really baffled, you'd think I'd asked for something bizarre! I did eventually (when almost all of my breakfast was finished) get given a bottle of ketchup, with no apology for the delay.

After eating our meals, we were shocked to see the people at the next table, who ordered the same meal, brought a better version than the one we'd had. Theirs had a gravy boat full of baked beans per person. That would have certainly helped with the dry toast! I asked the waitress 'how come we didn't get beans with ours?' and she (only stood a foot away from me) just stared me in the face for a few seconds, then wordlessly walked away. The whole experience was bizarre. We didn't see anyone smile the whole time we were there. We felt like we were imposing.

Finally, we had to wait seemingly forever to pay our bill, eventually giving up and deciding to stand and pick up our things, and pay at the door as we left. For that we received a ticking off from a member of staff, who was furious that we hadn't been willing to just sit waiting and waiting forever for the card machine. She told us 'next time stay seated'. Well, obviously there won't be a next time!
