Soi 3, Tung Hotel Road, Wat Ket (at Soi 3), Chiang Mai, Thailand, 50000
Serves meat, vegan options available. The woman who owns this restaurant learned her cooking skills from her mother who is a vegetarian chef and teacher. Veg dishes include fried rice, stir fried vegetable, red curry, green curry, papaya salad, vegetarian laab, soup. Speaks English and has English menu. Clean space with parking out front and back. Removed due to poor veg options.

Tried hard to order vegan, got served chicken - Edit
Not sure how one can claim this place to be vegetarian friendly or vegan friendly with the menu as it is (no vegan or vegetarian options). The owner who speaks English wasn't around, so even having our phone show the server the Thai word for "vegetarian" didn't register. Our meals were covered in chicken even though it seemed the message had been communicated.
Pros: friendly staff
Cons: not vegetarian friendly

Yummee food... - Edit
I've been to this restaurant over 10 times and each time the food has been really good. Always fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. Service can be a little slow during lunchtime but that is common. Water is free. No wifi. The food is Thai style not westernised. Owner speaks good english and is very friendly and knows how to make 'not spicy'. Located in between the railway station and the North bus station. 15 min bike ride from the city. Good find!
Pros: excellent food, good value & portions, good service
Cons: bit noisy from traffic, smokers
