Hmmmm 😏

I went to this place 3 times
The first time I had the mushroom/ tofu laab with rice. This dish was good
The second time I had the tempeh dish and the last time the coconut soup.
Both of this dishes I did not enjoy.
The soup was more like a curry but without flavor.
The tempeh dish was awful.

Location is nice.

Gross pizza.

We ordered a falafel hummus starter with salad and some bread which was ok (only reason I don't give 1 star.), just a bit much lemon in the hummus.
After the hummus we got the veggie pizza which is the worst thing I've ever had. It said "veggie pizza, mixed veggies and mozzarella" with the vegan AND vegetarian marks. Dumb me thought they had vegan cheese (and would use non-vegan cheese if people ordered vegetarian), but we only got pizza crust with tomato sauce and something that tasted like boiled vegetables. The veggies had no flavor. Don't think I have to say we could not eat more than a slice each, and even regret that one slice...
Had to pay for water.
And people are also smoking in the restaurant which is even more gross than the pizza.

Cons: GROSS pizza, Peoole smoking

LIKED BREAKFAST (it’s heavy!!)

Vegan breakfast platter is great! It’s really heavy on protein, there’s bacon (best ever!!) fried mix of mushrooms, tomatoes, potatoes and onions (really nice!!), sausage, baked beans, toasted whole wheat bread, peanut butter and tempeh (that lacked flavour). The price (200B) includes a drink you can choose. I had fresh mango smoothie. Really reasonable priced and A LOT OF FOOD. I liked this one! The massaman curry i had on another day was not mind blowing but ok!

good prices

We went twice because we are on a budget. The fresh carrot and beet juice was devine. Nice home made garlic bread and yummy hummus. The vegan burger and pad Thai were meh. Hard noodles, bland taste all round. Go for the green thai curry. We were grateful for the large selection of vegan meals on the menu and cheap prices.

Pros: price, fresh juices, many protein options

Cons: hit and miss taste

Vegan food is not vegan

The veggie pad thai was marked as vegan but it contains egg. The staff didn’t understand what vegan means despite the menu containing a vegan section. I had to spend quite some time trying to explain that egg isn’t vegan. The food is very cheap but slightly disappointing. I wouldn’t go back.

Lots of options, the vegan breakfast is amazing

The vegan breakfast is the best thing I got here so far, comes with a coffee for 200 baht. I also tried the tempeh and veg with tamarind sauce, vegan burger and the pad see eww. The pad see ew was just pad thai so I wouldn't recommend that. Vegan burger was standard but good. The vegan breakfast is really amazing. They also sometimes have some vegan desserts in the case like chocolate mango cake. I'm not sure why this place has so many bad reviews, it's not gourmet but the food is good and a bit less expensive than a lot of the other vegan restaurants. Nice view too. Everything from breakfast foods (vegan pancakes too!), western food, Thai food and Italian. Good place when you're traveling with non-vegans too as everyone will have good options here.

Not for me

Had the vegan breakfast and was quite disappointed... tasted ok with salt and pepper. Have never liked vegan sausages or bacon... if you are looking for plantbased, healthy options- go somewhere else!

Vegan breakfast

Well I should’ve known better. If something isn’t vegan and made vegan by humans, you should avoid it. That’s the same with vegan bacon, which tastes like squid foam. And I don’t know what they did with the Tempeh, but it looked like granola and was served with some oil to make it juicy. Taste was absent too if you don’t use salt and pepper. So next time I’ll order some cereals again and don’t bother with veganized meat!

Pros: Vegan

Cons: But the taste is quite bad

Yummy Pesto!

The pesto spaghetti is super tasty. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly. The tempeh burger is good also just needs a little more flavor.

Great: Indian curry and lab tofu mushrooms

Indian curry with rice really great. Also the lab tofu with mushrooms salad. Food quality, service and price very good. Nice place too. I will come again to try for more things. The menú with v of Vegan at the side of the items. Many vegan options . I put 4 of five only because the place is not 100% vegan.

Great food

We did not read reviews on this restaurant before going there and had a much different experience than the previews reviews. We had ginger stir fried vegetables as well as the quinoa with vegetables and avacado sauce. We really enjoyed them. We also had the steamed spring rolls as and they were just okay. The prices were very good compared to other restaurants in the area and we would definitely recommend.

Pros: Price, Food, Good shakes

Bad food, don't go

We ordered stir fried garlic and pepper tofu, but the tofu wasn't fried and the sauce tasted like dishwater with lots of pepper. Really bad. The bread we had as a side was fine.

Worst place in thailand by far

The menu was big with a lot of vegan options in it. Everything vegetarian and vegan clearly labeled.
My friend ordered a Veggie burger (80THB + 20THB if you want fries) It was really dry and didn't taste good. There was no sauce in it only veggies , old salad leaves, wholewheat bread and deep-fried patty.
Papaya salad was ok.
I ordered Quinoa with vegetables and avocado sauce (150THB) , it was really bad. It consisted of a handful of blackened salad leaves, one huge chunk of raw carrot and a few vegetables, a spoonful of quinoa, that was mixed with so much lemon juice it was inedible.... and a few small pieces of avocado. Very disappointing.
After that i took the Thai vegetable curry (100THB + rice (30THB) the portion was big but it was pretty much only liquid, there was a few vegetables floating in it, the taste was bland.
I dont recommend this place to anyone.

alright but overrated

While there are a decent amount of vegan options, prices are relatively high on some dishes and portions were average. I had fresh spring rolls and a veggie dish. Food was pretty average.

Pros: many vegan options

Wow very good veggy thai currys

I been there 2016 !! and they have very good vegetarian dishes. Try the currys or the "humus, chapati falafel".
The king is the famous passionfruit pie. Very nice place. A lot of yogi are always there.

Pros: exellent fresh local food, very good thai currys, they don't use MSG,

Go for Pizza

I was only one time there, the owner was very feiendly. Sympathic laid back atmosphere. He is doing a special mixture with spices that makes the pizza dough black :)

Can't understand the bad reviews.

First of all. They Serve vegan food, but also meet. Get over it.

They have plenty of fresh made mocktails and shakes. (Ask for the Big Mountain mocktail.)

Several selfmade combination of hummus and falafel with chapati or roti, i realy was happy after tried so many bad tasteless and bitter hummus and falafel in thailand.

The team is very nice and took great service when it came down to cook gluten-free and vegan for my girlfriend. They even remembered us every time we came, and we didnt have to ask anymore for what food was glutenfree or was able to cook gluten free. Sometimes really a pain in the... in thailand when it has to be vegan and glutenfree.

So overall for Ko Phangan quite a nice place to eat.

Pros: great service, good choices, good average food and currys, mocktails, shakes and fruitshake

Cons: As everywhere in thailand, take time!

Not worth the effort

Don't go out of your way to find this place. Yes they have lots of vege options on the menu, but they are all pretty ordinary and certainly no better than what you can already get anywhere else by simply asking for a vege version of whatever meat options they offer.

We ordered some whole wheat bread to go and 20 mins later they came out with a severely over-toasted baguette wrapped in aluminium foil - we suspect it may have been several days old. One thing we did enjoy was their juices - they can do a beetroot and carrot juice, which is a rare find on this island. That would be the only reason we could think of for going back though. Service is slow (the chefs were snoozing on the restaurant floor when we arrived) and the outdoor seating area can get pretty hot in the daytime - best to head for the beach and find something there.

Pros: vege juice

mmhpff

we arrived there after 8 days fasting because of the big sign vegan. came inside, the lady was cutting meat on the floor watching loud tv, her son was running around with a plasticgun, shooting around. ok we thought, so much about the buddha-blabla they hang here everywhere. ordering non spicy food and get three times extremely spice food. left the restaurant disapointed
