Good simple home food - Edit
My mom and sister found this nice little place for Authentic South African Home cooked meals. Prices here are quite affordable. For 3 people it cost us R60.They have Vegan options but do not label. The staff are very friendly and answered my questions on what items would be suitable for vegans. They checked the ingredients of the spices they used. We had a take away of rice, samp and beans (uses Bisto Onion Stock which is suitable for vegans), fried spinach, fried cabbage and chakalaka (uses Rajah Spice mix which is suitable for vegans). The food was nice but a bit oily. Their pap is also suitable for vegans. Their butternut had dairy. So please reconfirm what items are suitable for vegans and encourage them to label. They are looking into providing more vegetarian options due to demand, so if you know any home cooked South African vegan options then please recommend that they try serving it.
