Ask for the vegan menu, quite a few options! Garlic knots, Eggplant Parmesan, Baked Ziti are my favorites. I didn't know there was a vegan menu until one day the waitress told us about it, even though I had requested vegan things and asked questions to confirm what was vegan the times I'd gone before. Now, I always make sure to ask for the vegan menu and confirm with the waitstaff I'm ordering off the vegan menu. I wish they would advertise it more. But it's nice to now have this as an option when I meet up with family.
My son plays baseball in Venice and for a team pizza party after practice I needed to order some pizza for my family to enjoy. They were able to deliver pizza to the field and it was very good. We got the veggie deluxe sub vegan cheese and it was great. I liked that there didn't seem to be too much cheese as vegan cheese doesn't do well when it's overdone. The crust was nice and bready. Veggie deluxe has a good bunch of vegetables and they were fresh and tasty. Not a ton of sauce but this style pizza does not have a very thick crust. The tip of the slices were already folding down with the weight, so doubt you could do much more sauce.
The second time I ordered was for pickup, I asked about the fries and whether it was fried with any animal products (beef fat etc). The person that had answered the phone double checked and confirmed it's only fried with soybean oil, and that they have 2 vegan employees that eat the fries. The location looked like a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, small, simple, and clean. Didn't notice any issues that would make me wary of eating there. The staff were all very kind and polite.
Definitely wish there were more vegan options like pepperoni/sausage, but if I want vegan pizza and fries in Venice, this is where I'm going to go. Happily ate all the leftovers!
Cozy Mom & Pop type pizza parlor. Fantastic service. The cook, John, was vegan the evening we went and made a great pizza. Wish they had more vegan toppings like pepperoni or sausage.
The folks that work here are/seem understanding. The pizza is pretty good. I would be sure to ask about pizza slicers and cross contamination. They get it!
