It was fun to taste all of the different items. My favorites were the spinach, cabbage, and beet dishes.

Outstanding - Edit
Incredibly vibrant and tasty food. The menu is a set menu, and you pay per person. Serving sizes are generous - we got the platter for two and there was plenty of food. There were about nine stews included (one of which was not listed on the menu, but the owner checked with us first if we'd like to try it). They also provided extra injera and beautifully spicy condiments on the side. I can also recommend the Ethiopian spiced tea!
Read moreThe owner was really lovely and approachable, and the service was quite fast.
The venue itself is wheelchair and pram accessible, and there is a toilet on site which was clean and stocked with sanitary products.
I was very impressed with this restaurant and I look forward to coming back in the future!

Top Notch Ethiopian - Edit
Update Dec 2025: I've now been here a few times and it's always absolutely superb.
Read moreWe were sat eating at Beza and I was trying to figure out how many Ethiopian places I've eaten at now, and I think this is the 9th! And I can say it really is among the best, the food was authentic and the dishes were perfectly spiced, even tasting a bit more complex and layered than most of the others I've been to. There was even a minced carrot dish that I've not had before and was delicious.
The staff were friendly and the prices were fine for this area of London. When I visited it was £19 each for the mixed platter (which really is the best way to eat Ethiopian).

Great injara - Edit
Having just been in Addis Ababa a few weeks ago, I can honestly say this injara is great. Owner super friendly. Will come back whenever I am in town.

Amazing! - Edit
The staff was very kind explaining everything about the menu and asking about allergies. The food was an amazing experience (especially the cabbage, the red beetroots and the chilisauces!). Definitly will cole again when in london < 3

Delicious food, friendly owner - Edit
This is my favourite local restaurant. Beza, the owner, is lovely - friendly, helpful and patient. We’ve not tried the full menu because we always have the lunch box, which has a selection of different dishes in it and is very reasonably priced. We don’t like too much spice so she serves the hot sauces in separate dishes. We also don’t like injera so we always have the rice option. Even the tap water is served in a bottle with mint, slices of orange and cucumber. Nothing is too much trouble for her.

Considerate Staff & Filling Food - Edit
The very first thing my mate and I were asked when we got here was whether had problems with gluten as they had just run out of gluten-free food. But that was no problem for us.
Read moreThe staff was also very patient with us as it took as a while and three explanations to understand how that menu worked. And they warned us that the side dish was extremely spicy.
The food was okay. Some of the toppings were great, but the others as well as the bread was not exactly our taste. Plus, the spicy side was way to spicy for us.
The food was filling though. We didn't finish it and took the rest with us and whenever I ate a few bites, it did fill me up well.
Plus, I liked the wooden cups.
Pros: Patient and Considerate Staff , Filling food

Thanks for this recommendation! - Edit
So grateful to HC for leading us to this place. We grabbed some takeaway food on our way home from The House of Dreams Museum in Dulwich. They were super nice and fast and we ate it when we got home. It was my first time eating Ethiopian food and I LOVED it can’t recommend this place highly enough. Check it out. Yum yum yum.

Ethiopian food at its finest - Edit
Ethiopian food is always a safe choice, I’ve tried many restaurants and never had a bad Ethiopian meal. Beza has it all: delicious food, big portions, lovely owner who was taking care of us. We had a fantastic meal and a very relaxing afternoon there.

A delight! - Edit
It was my first time here and I loved it! There were 12 of us, so we had platters, which we ate in 4's. The food was delicious, I couldn't stop eating 😂 Wine was a reasonable price for London. The place has lots of character and the staff were lovely with a great sense of humour ☺️

It’s just a notch above all else, period. - Edit
Outstanding! I didn't expect to find the best Ethiopian I've ever had in London, but here it was. I will say that service is fast, compared with most Ethiopian places, the place was small and nice, the staff were friendly, but more importantly - the food was just better than anywhere else I've been. Each item just had an extra touch of flavor and depth and we just kept saying out loud, "this is the better version of this dish" as we ate (like their Gomen). On top of that - they had a scrambled chickpeas, which I'd not seen on other menus.

Shared the delicious set meal between three of us. More than enough food. Staff were very friendly, the restaurant decor is very cute. I don’t get to eat Ethiopian food enough so was such a treat.

Wholesome and delicious! - Edit
We shared a delicious platter for two. All healthy delicious wholefood plant based dishes made from lentils, beans, spinach, cabbage and carrots laid on a bed of injera. We were also given extra injera with two dipping sauces but they were a bit too spicy for us to finish. The platter itself is not spicy at all. We paid £19 each for the meal plus drinks costs.
Read moreThe staff were absolutely lovely, explaining the menu and checking in with us throughout. The interior was beautiful but we sat outside as it was a hot day. As Beza is located next to a plant shop, this was a lovely experience because we were surrounded by greenery! Well worth a visit to try this wholesome cuisine and support this lovely business.

Very tasty food and big platter for sharing! Very friendly staff and outside seating is available. The only thing to be aware of is that there is a set menu with a price of £19 per person.

Finger licking food! - Edit
It's a snazzy restaurant in a new building of some kind. Based on Happycow we were expecting something less fancy. It was quiet at 5pm on a Saturday, great service and fancy tap water was good.
Read moreThe menu was pricier than we thought as Happycow gives it one $ but it was £19 per person. No choice of meal as it's a set menu but we hate making decisions anyway and you get to have everything which is great. We also added on the Shiro, which was a delicious chickpea satay sauce.
All in all we recommend but it's not a cheap place to eat, a main course anywhere will set you back less.
Pros: Clean, Very tasty, Relaxed
Cons: Expensive

I recommend this place to anyone who will listen. I first had a meal with family at Beza about a year ago and couldn’t stop thinking about the food. When I found myself at a loose end in London, it was the first place I thought of, and I gladly spent half an hour on the tube to get there. The food was just as good as I remembered and so reasonably priced for the variety of different things you get to try on the platter. I’m sure I will be back again!
