Yummy, but not protein - Edit
I really like the sushi at Beyond Sushi, but it makes me miss Soy and Sake all the more. Beyond Sushi creatively makes different combinations of delicious vegetables and toppings to come up with their rolls. My only complaint is that the rolls are just vegetables, so there are very limited protein sources. There may be one or two rolls that have tofu, but that's it. Otherwise, a very yummy place for vegan sushi!

If you get tired of boring avocado rolls/ cucumber rolls at regular sushi places, come here! No sushi is boring. Delicious sushi and other items. My favorite is the Spicy Mang.

I had the Fun Guy dumpling and Mighty Mushrooms sushi. I wasn't that impressed. The sushi roll was really cold. Not appealing to my taste. The dumplings was so dressed up that I couldn't really taste what was on the inside. This was my first time there and not sure if I'll return. Maybe the noodles are ok....who knows. Oh and seating is limited (tiny).

We love this place. Nice, clean, plenty of seats and a full bar. The food was delicious. The service was good. The price is surprisingly low given that it's NYC. Try the Fun-Guy dumplings.

Read moreWhen I think of vegan or vegetarian sushi I immediately picture the boring "avocado roll" or "sweet potato roll" on a sushi places menu. This is not that in any way. Beyond sushi exceeded my expectations and perfectly combine so many flavors together to create each roll. The sunny side roll was my favorite. They made the sweet potato it is topped with have the same texture as fish would on top of a sushi rice. M second favorite was the pickle me roll. Also do not second guess the dumplings, I don't remember what the name was of the ones I got but they were delicious.
Do not miss this place when in New York City. Get it to go if you are in a hurry or get it as a 2nd dinner. I got it for a 3rd time on my way to the bus to go back home.
Pros: Amazing food
Cons: Small space (but what isn't small in NYC)

My girlfriends and I where in NY for two days and we couldn’t have enough of this place. We visited the Central Park (57th Ave)location several times and the staff was beyond friendly, remembering our names and what each of us had already order, so we could rotate the menu. Amazing!

This was SO GOOD and beautifully served, with super high quality ingredients and original, artful creations. It was also very inexpensive (my mom and I shared three dishes for less than 20$, and we left full and satisfied). Honestly the best.
