Perfect vegan street food! - Edit
Delicious vegan Currywurst with different flavors and levels of spice. 😍 service was friendly and fast. Only con was not enough seating.

Good vegan Currywurst - Edit
A small fast food place at the end of the Fußgängerzone. The sausage seems to be seitan based, so don’t expect a sausage that tastes like a “real” one. But I actually appreciate it, since you can be sure - especially in a non-vegan place - that it’s vegan. The sausage comes with really tasty bread. Prepare to wait a bit longer than the other customers.

Wurst was meh - Edit
The curry sauce was very fruity and almost too powerful, I picked cinnamon & coriander seasoning which went very well with the sauce. The wurst on the other hand was very tough and rather bland, didn't enjoy it at all. The bread was very delicious and crispy though.

Endlich kann ich wieder Currywurst genießen. Nachdem wir die vegane Wurst bestellt haben, hat der Verkäufer ausführlich erklärt, was auf der Karte vegan ist und was nicht. So viel Aufgeklärtheit habe ich nicht bei einer Wurstbude erwartet!

Very good vegan currywurst - Edit
Of the two places in Mainz which serve vegan currywurst, I like this one a bit better: The bread they serve with it is really great and they stick more to the recipe I used to know as a child (just plain tomato ketchup with curry powder as opposed to a curry ketchup sauce). Two of their curry powders are not vegan, so make sure not to order them (I think these are the last 2 of them, one has cheese and one has honey in it). Also, if there is a queue you can walk past it and order a vegan sausauge as it is always grilled to order and takes about 10 minutes until ready.
