Good food, stunning space

This could have been a solid 4 stars (seeing as that's the max. HappyCow will allow for veg-options places), but wasn't quite. I should point out that this review relates to a visit in October 2023 - I somehow forgot to publish it here back then.

The space is absolutely gorgeous. The bar is worth a visit alone - stellar service, creative drinks, and nice views.

We came for a pre-theatre dinner and the dining room was busy. Service was patchy. I get it. It happens sometimes. What I will never get is why the maître d's by and large never help out in these situations. This one wasn't any different. Sure, we received a warm welcome from him and were shown to our table, but that's about it. I always feel that maître d's think it's beneath them to run food, even when it's needed.

The food was very tasty and beautifully plated. I think. I mean, I know it was tasty, but the plating aspect kind disappeared halfway through the meal, because they turned the lights so low that it was difficulty to see what's on your plate. Made the place look even more gorgeous, but didn't help with identifying food choices, especially when they're served on black crockery.

Would I done here again? Absolutely. They have enough vegan choices to not make ordering look like a struggle and the food was good. Did I think it was value for money? The food & drinks were, no doubt, the other aspects perhaps not so much.

Beautiful restaurant

Great restaurant and vibes! Price is on the higher end, but you’re paying for the experience. BEAUTIFUL and historic building. Nice variety of flavorful vegan dishes, and they’ll also make a nice veggie roll if requested!

Pros: Atmosphere

Stunning setting, plentiful, delicious food

We had the Family Style for dinner. It turned out to be a delicious, filling six course meal (five plus dessert).

This is not explicitly marked vegan on the menu so you'll have to ask. Also it says minimum four people but we were just the two, and in both cases they were happy to oblige.

Sit inside if you get the chance. The gorgeous high-ceilinged, intricately carved ambience is quite something! The cost is on the steep side, but worth trying for a special day.

Fancy restaurant/tasty vegan options

Lovely experience every time. Beautiful scenery.
I've tried the 5-course vegan tasting menu during a friend's Bachelorette party, and it was amazing! I've also been there for dinner celebrating a friend's 30th birthday. The smashed cucumbers as a starter, is to die for! Really good main course as well. They also have really good drinks. It is a bit on the pricier side, therefore I've only been there for special occasions.
