Decent meal - Edit
We had a decent meal here, the menu has a mix of ramen, don, bento and lots of sides too-a good place to come in a group to share lots of dishes. It was busy-we got the last table and were initially told we could only have it for 40 minutes-although thankfully this didn’t end up being the case. Recommend booking! It was a shame to sit in the back part of the restaurant where the atmosphere isn’t so lively, although we did enjoy the Savour Japan video on the tv screen! The aubergine tempura ramen was only so-so, it was a big portion but salty and not super flavourful. My friend enjoyed the pumpkin katsu. The bill was around £38 for two mains, a veggie tempura and two small beers which we thought was amazing value! Next time I’ll try the katsu or a bento. There’s a separate vegan menu😄

This restaurant is small, but what it lacks in size, it certainly makes up for with flavour.
Read moreWe visited for lunch and ordered the baked tofu katsu curry with rice and the black truffles mixed assorted mushroom soba from the separate vegan menu.
Both dishes were so flavoursome, especially the soba, and I loved the handmade flat noodles. Portion sizes were generous too and very good value for money.
Staff were very welcoming and interior was nice and cosy.

Bento has a large vegan menu and is very accommodating. The restaurant is small and very authentic. I highly recommend the teriyaki tofu bento box!

Bento has an extensive vegan menu which is separate from the main menu to ensure that everything you order is prepared fully vegan. The staff are lovely and know the menu well so they are very helpful with recommendations and suggestions. The restaurant itself is decorated like a traditional izakaya and is very cosy.
Read moreMy favourite is by far the mixed mushroom ramen - with udon noodles and miso broth. I've been here several times now though and nothing I've ordered has missed the mark. Everything has been authentic and very tasty. I eat a lot of ramen (have probably eaten at every ramen place in the city centre now) but can confidently say that Bento is my favourite.
