Loved it!

We have ordered several times from Benny’s and everything has been delicious! The vegan doughnuts are basically small sweet cakes and the maple and cinnamon sugar ones are our favorites! Highly recommend!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Easy to order online for pickup , Very nice staff

Cons: Expensive but doughnuts are an occasional splurge

Amazing!

I didn’t realize that everything except for 2 things was available vegan! Only downside is that they were also gluten free, so they were a little powdery. A little pricey, but super knowledgeable staff!

Pros: So many vegan options , Small and cute donuts

Cons: Gluten free same as vegan

I would not go again

I was very excited to have vegan donuts out on the east side of town. Like the other reviewer, the donuts were cold lumps and dipped into wet icing that did not solidify. I bought 6 and the icing flowed off and into a mixed up puddle. This was on a cold day. Bland flavors, just tasted sweet. If I need a donut, will stick with Doe Donuts in Portland, or head to Voodoo for their vegan offerings.

Pros: they offer vegan

Cons: wet icing, small hard donut, expensive for quality and size

Not Many Benny-fits

It was unclear to me whether the doughnuts are vegan by default (except for the flavors not available vegan), so I asked. I learned you have to specify you want vegan dough (which is also gluten-free). Benny's slogan is "Hot. Fresh. Fancy." Unfortunately, that's not what we received. We saw fresh doughnuts being made, but I'm assuming the vegan doughnuts are stored in a fridge because they were given to us cold. Not hot. Not even room temperature. Cold. Cold doughnuts are fine if that's what you're expecting, but that's not what's advertised. Because the doughnuts are made-to-order, they use a "topping bar" to create the flavors. I ordered a Chai Spice, and my partner ordered a Coava Cold Brew. We both agreed the flavors were so subtle we could barely taste them. I like the concept of this shop, but was disappointed in the execution.

Pros: lots of vegan flavors (but ask for vegan dough)

Cons: lacking flavor, expensive for small doughnuts, cold doughnuts should have been hot
