The mint chip was way too minty, and the blueberry had a fake aftertaste. Not creamy at all - and with all the good vegan ice creams we can get nowadays, they can do WAY better!!!!

Delicious vegan ice creams and shakes w/ oat or almond milk. Blueberry ice cream was excellent. Often seems like these places just have sorbet for vegan options but they had 5 actual ice creams when we were there.

Vegan waffle cones ! - Edit
I have been looking for a vegan waffle cone forever. The cone and ice cream were both great BUT it is pricey! 13.50 for a one scoop waffle cone. The pricing is all over the wall but so much to look at that you don’t even see it . So definitely wish I would have read the reviews to know it was going to cost that much. Ask for samples bc the mint chip is way too strong so I would have been so upset to pay that much for something I hated. But again, chocolate and vanilla were great.

6 vegan flavors and vegan cones - Edit
6 vegan ice creams and vegan cones! The blueberry and caribbean/coconut were our favorites. They also had signs up advertising vegan milkshakes and vegan cookies. We walked into two other ice cream shops in Bar Harbor and one only had sorbet and the other didn’t haven’t anything vegan, so we stuck with Ben&Bills which seemed the most vegan friendly by far.

A most horrible experience - Edit
Had the most horrible experience of my vegan life. This shop has non-English speaking servers who dont understand “vegan”. When I asked for their vegan options, i was given a spoon of their lobster icecream to taste! And this was not even the worst part! Instead of being apologetic, I was even charged for a bottle of water. DON’T GO IN HERE IF YOU’RE VEGAN.

Great place for vegan ice cream! - Edit
At least 6 vegan ice cream flavors and a vegan waffle cone! We tried the vegan blueberry in the vegan waffle cone and were amazed - made with a ton of real blueberries not fake food coloring. It’s the real deal. So delicious and worth every outrageous penny of the cost ($13.50 for a single in the waffle cone). We had visited once before two years ago and were happy to see they are now offering more flavors. The place is mostly a candy store walk through with the vegan ice cream options at the very end so when you go in look to your right in the freezer and you’ll see the vegan choices before going all the way around. Vegan vanilla is amazing too! Staff is very nice and accommodating.

I didn’t try the blueberry which seemed to be there best flavor. I ended up ordering the arctic mint chip which I thought would be something other than blue dyed mint chip but I was disappointed to find out it was just that. While alright I think if you come here, head for the matcha or the blueberry flavors.

Get the waffle cone with vanilla - Edit
The vegan vanilla ice cream with vegan waffle cone was exceptionally good. The vanilla tasted almost a bit like maple and may be some of the best vanilla ice cream we’ve had. We liked the vanilla better than the mint, perhaps too minty for such a large ice cream serving. On the pricey side, but portions are very generous and we’ll worth the expense.

Underwhelming - Edit
The texture is a bit off, in between sorbet and ice cream. The matcha and mint didn’t really work, the matcha flavour was muted and the mint was overpowering. Chocolate was passing, the best of the 3. The mint colour was synthetic turquoise and the chips were also mint flavoured.

Many vegan flavors but not very creamy for ice cream - Edit
Long line out the door but excellent friendly staff keeps the line moving fast. Our group of 4 tried 6 different flavors of non dairy ice cream here. I completely agree with previous reviewers…the Arctic mint was like eating toothpaste flavored ice cream, although toothpaste is creamier. Not a good mint chip. We love mint chip, so I was tempted to try it despite other reviews but regretted my decision after the first bite. The chocolate and vanilla is okay, as is the mud brew flavor (like a chocolate coffee but not too strong on the coffee). None of the ice creams had a creamy enough mouth feel, but for a tourist spot and wanting to treat the kids on vacation, I am grateful for their many non dairy flavors. So, we will return, but there is better vegan ice cream out there, especially at these prices. See my other reviews to see how the local competition compares in Bar Harbor.

Got the toothpaste blue arctic freeze mint chip. Very disappointing. The mint tasted like toothpaste and had a weird texture. Two bites later I had to throw it away.

I got two flavors at two different times. I got the arctic freeze flavor first, which is supposed to be a mint chip, but it was too minty and tasted like toothpaste. The second flavor i got was the castaway chocolate, which kinda tasted like a frosty, but the texture was a little frosty and not that creamy.

I think the flavor was called mud slide or something but it was very good. Very vanilla was good too. The coconut was okay but not as good as the other two.
