Serves meat, vegan options available. Ethiopian/Scottish restaurant offering a variety of traditional vegan Ethiopian dishes. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-10:00pm.
Ben Abeba is simply spectacular. There are plenty of delicious vegan options but the setting is unbelievable. I strongly recommend you visit it while in Lalibela. The building is a unique design, and the restaurant is perched on a hill overlooking the mountains. If you go at sunset, it's even better. If you do go later in the day, know that it can get cold in the open areas of the restaurant, so bring some layers.
(To be totally forthright: I haven't been to Ben Abeba since the civil war, but the restaurant is reopened and has a small hotel associated with it too, so I thought I'd try to bring it some attention by reviewing it now.)
