I'd been looking forward to trying this place, as I pass it daily to and from work. Met friends there today for brunch. They arrived first and sat at the only empty table which was pretty messy with partially eaten meals and a number of unfinished beverages - it took 10 minutes or more before that was cleared and it was kind of disgusting. We waited for some water and then for someone to take our order. They seemed short-staffed (the person who cleared our table left immediately after doing so). The person who took and served our order was quite kind and charming, overall the service was really the bare minimum. Our food arrived relatively soon - we were not offered any condiments, including the person who had dry toast on her plate. We all agreed that the food (scrambled eggs for one of us, tofu scramble for the other two) was rather bland - not bad but there are so many nearby places that do it so much better.
This restaurant isn’t all vegan but the vegan options they have were really good, especially the egg sandwich made with tofu scramble. I also really like their lattes. I got my food to go but it’s really cute inside as well.
The food was okay. However we waited over 45 minutes for our meal with no apology for the delay. The restaurant was not busy. There were only 2 other tables. They collected a more than reasonable tip at the time we placed our order. If there had been some way to express our dissatisfaction other than through this review, we certainly would have.
The menu is nice and if you are interested in unique teas, this would be a great place to check out. We visited on a slow Monday mid-morning when only a few other customers were present. We ordered some coffee/tea and breakfast. The drinks were good and came out right away, however we didn’t see a single plate come out of the kitchen for almost 45 minutes. When out food finally arrived after nearly an hour is was good, but not something I’d wait an hour for.
