homemade Italian food ... vegan style! - Edit
Bello Bio is a very casual place where they sell some grocery items too. The menu is written on a whiteboard near the kitchen and they bring the food out to you. The risotto ball was amazing and the eggplant parmigiana was very good too.

Buonissimo - Edit
Sort of like vegan Italian home cooking. It's the food my mom would make if she were vegan - and I love my mom's food!
Read moreMy favourites are the eggplant parmigiana and the tiramisu'. I also love the rice-based mozzarella they use in some of their dishes and also sell in the store part.
The owners are warm and friendly too :-)

Wonderful. - Edit
What a little gem. I have absolutely no negative things to say about these fine folks; upon entering you are greeted warmly and if you peruse their grocery items, (Lisa?) will come explain their products with a wealth of knowledge and explain how to prepare etc. (Mauro?) came out from behind the kitchen a few times to even elaborate - such sweet, generous people.
Read moreSamples! Samples samples samples. I got to sample the tiramisu; yum! Their varieties of brown rice vegan cheese from Italy; wow! and of course their seitan roast... mmmmm.... and everything else looks magical.
Store is clean, fresh, there is seating for people who want to eat in; coffee, desserts... it's a small place so don't come expecting a full blown restaurant; half is grocery, half is food in display cases.
If it were closer, I would be there almost every day but I am sure for those in the neighbourhood, Bello Bio will become a routine grocery or dinner stop.
Pros: Owners are wonderful, Clean and tidy, Great, unique selection
Cons: Expect to pay more for quality products, (duh)
