Best vegan bakery - Edit
Amazing range of fully vegan baked goods including croissants, donuts, and savoury scrolls, muffins, etc. They also have salads and flavourful sandwiches. And the hot drinks are good too! This isn’t really something we have a lot of in New Zealand so I’m glad to see they’re doing well enough to have expanded to 4 locations.
Read moreI have been several times in the past but recently went to Belen three times while visiting Wellington for the week (twice in Petone, and once at their Lambton Quay store in Wellington CBD). The quality of the food and service was the same at both.
I haven’t tried any myself but they have a variety of gluten free options that look just as good as the gluten full options.

Fully vegan bakery = heaven - Edit
Used to need to travel into town to enjoy delicious vegan bakery goods, and since I work Monday-Friday it was nearly impossible. So grateful they opened a store in Petone!! Food is absolutely delicious and large variety of savoury, sweet, and many GF options. Feel very spoiled by Belen ❤️

We work at the opportunity for animals op shop down the road on a regular basis and are always looking forward to getting some vegan treats from Belén. Everything is SO GOOD. Highly recommend the pizza cruffin. Delicious!

Read moreIncredible range of food - filled rolls, salads, pies, croissants both sweet and savoury, stacks on stacks of donuts and slices. I got the ham and cheese croissant, the shepherds pie, the cinnamon scroll and the banoffee donut. All so delicious. My new go to whenever I’m in town now!

So many delicious treats in Belen Plant Bakery! The shepherds pie, served with a tomato relish was tasty and filling! Salads, tofu based rolls, plant based pies and delicious donuts all on offer! I’ll be back!
