Simple little place tucked away in a back street. Offers traditional country pub fare but without sitting in a bar. Small menu, staff is willing modify a meal to be vegan. Reported to be all vegetarian as of Nov 2014. UPDATE: Mar 2016 Closed for refurbishment, please let happycow know if / when it re-opens! Open Mon-Sat 10:00am-5:00pm.

A hidden pearl in lovely laid back historic Town - Edit
A little oasis of peace, but it is on a back street so easy to miss. I have had lunch there several times, all veggie, and some vegan ...Am sure they would adapt. Typical dishes are lentil mousaaka, curries, veg burgers, veg chili in tortilla wrap. I had a wicked choc and cashew brownie once, which was the best ever. Genuinely home made food. Prices are fair. Another bonus is the vinyl records on display and sale. I have been to the prebook only evenings, as it is not open usually in eves. I felt the food was not quite as good, altho still acceptable. Eg i had a melanza parmigiana, but it had no mozzaella, only a tiny bit of parmesan. Staff are very warm and friendly, and there is cake and tea also and good chai latte. I have to mention the loos too, it is an old building and the loo is very very narrow with mirrors on one wall to make it less oppressive... quirky and a bit weird!
Pros: Good all veggie choices, Cosmoplitan boho atmos, Lovely staff
Cons: Evening fare not quite as good as day

I didn't eat there as am a bit poor at the mo and was on my own when I passed it but they do state they are vegetarian now. There was no meat on the menu
