Long wait for bland food - Edit
Delayed review based on visit October 2025:
Read moreThere were no vegan options noted on the board so I had to ask at the counter. I think about 3 options were listed verbally to me. I got the Asian burrito without being told what that actually contained. We had a strangely long wait here given we were literally the only customers at the time, and were tempted to leave but felt too awkward to do so. When the food came my burrito was roasting hot, but clearly freshly made (I think it had kimchee and lots of vegetables in it). It was not to my taste however and just felt like fuel. The baked good was dry and tasteless. I would not return and not recommend unless you were stuck for options in the area.

Pros: Ok food, Freshly made
Cons: Long wait (only customers), Menu only on board - vegan options not listed, Expensive

Thank you for your honest feedback, and we’re sorry your experience didn’t meet expectations. Our burritos are freshly prepared and grilled to order, which can take a little extra time, but we apologise if the wait felt longer than expected.
Read moreWe’re also sorry if the fillings were not clearly explained — we will ensure this is communicated better. While the burrito is popular with many guests, we understand that taste is personal and regret it wasn’t to your liking.
Regarding pricing, we strive to remain fair and competitive, and this item’s price has not been increased for over a year despite rising costs.
We appreciate your comments and hope you’ll visit us again so we can serve you better next time.

Tastes healthy - Edit
All vegetarian healthy food place with some covered outdoor seating. Offers takeaway. Menu changes daily, but there is always a small buffet as well and some staples (wrap, kebab, cakes).
Read moreIt's not the cheapest lunch you'll find in Maynooth. The portion size is OK though.
I don't know what it is, but all their dishes have something I don't particularly like. Plus, it is often a bit watery/sauce-heavy.
Pros: Healthy
Cons: Watery dishes

Even though I’ve eaten well the huge array of vegan sweet options is just too tempting……. Might be a take out!!! ……… or not 🥹

Highly recommended: a hidden gem in Maynooth - Edit
What a gem of a find. My family and I happened to be out for a walk at Donadea forest on Sunday and we were starting to get hungry. A quick search showed us Beetroot. We liked what we saw, and it was close by, so off we went. It was love at first bite. The food was amazing, the service was really friendly and helpful, and there was a lovely vibe to the place from the moment we walked in. (Here's the part where I point out that we had two kids in tow who aren't always the most enthusiastic eaters of vegan food but they absolutely tore into the kebab and didn't leave a single crumb.) Highly recommended; we'll be back for sure.

Delicious homey food - Edit
Delicious, home made food in the heart of Maynooth. The menu changes daily and features items like various soups and stews, moussaka, cottage pie, sandwiches, wraps, and curries. Everything is vegan except that the sandwiches have the option of including cheddar cheese. They also have a delicious assortment of pasties and cakes such as banana bread, hazelnut beetroot cake, flapjacks, and a chocolate oat brownie. Everything is made daily by the chef and owner.
Read moreWe stopped by here several times and always had a great experience. Service is very friendly and welcoming, the food is homey and delicious, and the price is reasonable. Great place. I truly can’t recommend it enough!

Quick and healthy - Edit
I got the Bombay Aloo and my non-companion got a soup and we were both really happy with our meals. She then got a beetroot tart for dessert and I got a sweet potato brownie. The dessert portions are really big! There’s seating for about 13 people inside, and their card machine has a 7€ minimum. When I went everything was vegan despite not being specifically labelled as vegan.

Lovely restaurant with friendly owners - Edit
The restaurant is small (10 places I estimate), and the menu is limited to a couple of dishes and a salad buffet, but the dishes are savory and tasty.
Read moreOne bowl of stew didn't satisfy me, so I ordered a second one. It didn't break the bank, because one bowl is just 7 euros or so.
There's also a parking right in front of the restaurant, which is accessible via Leinster Street.
