Amazing Afternoon Tea - Edit
Abbiamo prenotato un Afternoon Tea per due persone ed è stata una esperienza indimenticabile. Il locale è meraviglioso nella sua originalità e nel suo essere rustico.

Biscoff Sauvaged - Edit
We read gleaming reviews, so we made the trek to Beetroot Sauvage. It was a decent distance from the city centre.
Read moreIt is a pleasant place to enjoy something to eat & drink - away from the hustle & bustle of the busier bits of Edinburgh.
It was raining. It was pouring.
My young daughter was snoring.
The antidote to a wet & windy walk with weight?
Biscoff Hot Chocolate.
It was savaged.
The Mac 'n' Cheese w/Jalapeños was superb.
The Haggis Roll was fantastic.
The portion sizes are better than most places.
The place is a reasonable size too; we weren't worried about finding a table.
Plenty of options and great choice.
Pros: 100% Vegan, Great Portions, Fantastic Food
Cons: More Expensive Than Most

Yum - Edit
Lovely spot! Had a great coffee (though wish I had the matcha, my friend got that and it was so good) and the avocado toast with scrambled tofu. Really generous portion size, absolutely delicious - will definitely be going back😄

Lovely garden - Edit
Lovely vegan cafe. Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with lots of tables inside and a decent sized garden too.
Read moreWe booked a table for 2.30 on Sat and after having our lovely lunch (vegan nachos with chilli and vegan pastrami sandwich) at about 3.45 we went to order our deserts. Sadly we were told the kitchen closed at 3.30. Maybe a suggestion would be if you could alert people about 3 so they can get their orders in on time. Thankfully though they were still able to make Freakshakes which were lovely! Next time though I wanna try the bubble waffle.
Great you have free parking for cars, a rarity in Edinburgh. Would be great though if you could look at fixing your bike racks as a bit broken.
Loved the hidden gem of the garden and the hanging chair in the little pod and bit of a secret garden in Edinburgh.
So great to have an all vegan menu. Will def be back and will bring my vegan friends!😄
Pros: Lovey food, Great garden , Relaxed atmosphere
Cons: Bikes racks need fixing, No warning for kitchen closing , Service a bit slow

Really great place - food not so great - Edit
I really want to like this place! It's in a location that you wouldn't expect to find a vegan restaurant, it's got a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and is a beautiful building with a very cool ramshackle outdoor space.
Read moreBut the food is not really good enough.
Vegan food on offer in restaurants has come so far recently, but here it still feels like all those disappointing meals you got a few years ago. Cakes are a bit to margarine tasting. Their "cheese" dishes aren't very nice. Even the soup was disappointing.
Maybe I've just been unlucky, but I've eaten here a couple of times with my family and between us we tried quite a few different dishes.
That said, it seems really popular with locals and seems to have lots of regulars, so it might just have been bad luck.
The coffee is nice!!
I really wish them the best - it's such a nice place. I will keep visiting when I come to Edinburgh in the hope that they get it right / my luck changes.
Pros: Lots of options , Super nice, very large outdoor area, Lovely atmosphere
Cons: Not cheap, Service is friendly but not good, Food isn't great

Incredible food and lovely space - Edit
I've come to Beetroot Sauvage a few times now and the food has been consistently excellent, and the space itself is fantastic. There is loads of room to sit inside or outside. Highly recommended!

Great food, poor service - Edit
They were busy but we waited nearly an hour for food, and then we didn't actually get what we ordered. They were very apologetic, but nonetheless we waited a long time. When it eventually arrived it was excellent.

The early 2000s could never - Edit
It felt like what the original vegan cafes wanted to be. Yoga upstairs (which I didn't try) food that is actually delicious and a gorgeous outside area. I had the haggis roll, an iced latte, the caramel bubble waffle and mac n cheese and everything was really good. I will definitely be back!

Had their macaroni ok but felt it would have been better if it was served with a little side salad or garlic bread as felt it was a little pricey for just a bowl of pasta.

One of the best vegan cafés I've been to - Edit
The first time I went here my friend and I spent half an hour looking at the menu. We were certainly not used to so many options! I especially recommend the cheese platter as they make their own cheese! I also went there with my flatmate for a Christmas dinner and had a really good time. Absolutely worth a visit!

Hipster, nice vibes and a bit too expensive - Edit
Nice spacious place. Food was tasty - I tried their beetroot coffee and a croissant. They took 30 min to bring that to the table so service was a bit slow imo.

Amazing - Edit
Visited with the family for a birthday meal and was blown away by the food, service and atmosphere. The staff were so kind and patient as we were hopeless at choosing and always have food envy! The food was so fresh healthy and tasty, good portion sizes and great value. The cafe has a very calm and relaxed atmosphere and we all really enjoyed our meal. Wish this place was closer to home for us, but it will be first on our list when we are back in Edinburgh. Good walk from town so you can work up an appetite on the way there and burn off the cake on the way back!

Vegan haven - Edit
The staff here are sweet, accommodating and friendly! The food is delicious and the portions nice and big! Had the loaded avo on toast and white choc hot chocolate before Christmas and was blown away by the quality, flavour and the sheer novelty of a vegan white choc hot choc !! The cakes are also delicious and all is a reasonable and fair price! Lovely atmosphere too in a very tranquil building- highly recommend, I'll definitely be coming back!

loved the food - Edit
I was really worried entering this place as the exterior is inauspicious looking - to be blunt, the exterior looks derelict. But it was alive and welcoming inside. The food was excellent with bold flavours and textures.

Best Large Salad in the City - Edit
A wonderful restaurant with a great patio. I finally found a vegan restaurant here with a fresh, large entree salad! The salad is loaded with a variety of veggies and comes with a garlicky creamy dressing. I also sampled their vegan cheese made in their kitchen. My favorite place in Edinburgh.
