Not bad - Edit
Friendly staff, however, the seitan chicken wasn’t that great and neither was the burger patty

Average food, friendly service - Edit
Delicious broccoli starter but decidedly average burger and fries. Asked for a burger without tomatoes, but it still came with them.

Great crispy cauliflower bowl - Edit
Love this place. Eat takeout from beetbox monthly. While all the dishes I've tried are really good the crispy cauliflower bowl is my favorite. It is amazing.

Crispy and not too greasy - Edit
It was good comfort food, but the onion rings had more heat than flavor. The chick-un burger was excellent. #Veganuary

Super tasty - Edit
Love Beetbox! It hits the spot when you’re craving something greasy and salty.
Read moreWe got the nashville chicken sandwich, the onion rings and the fries. The sandwich was tasty - the seitan had a great firm consistency and the miso aioli was awesome. The onion rings were thick and crunchy and a little spicy. The fries were good too, but probably our least favourite of everything we ordered.
I’d recommend getting a side of the fry sauce - it was so good I could bathe in that stuff.
Pros: Portion size is good!, Pretty affordable.

Vegan fast food - Edit
We arrived right before opening, they let us in a tad early - this was so nice since it was rainy. I ordered the Nashville Fried Chick-Un Sandwich and my hubby ordered the regular chick-un sandwich. The breading was fantastic, however the chili on the Nashville was not the flavor for me, and my hubby didn’t fall in love with his sandwich (he did eat it all!). One child ordered the burger with chili fries and devoured it. The other child ordered the chick-un nuggets and really liked them (I tried a nugget- it was so good!). My absolute favorite were the yam wedges which were just perfection. I seriously could eat those every day. I would definitely go back and try other things, and obviously continue eating the fries (they were all a huge hit).

Fresh & Friendly - Edit
Had the beet and apple salad, very tasty and fresh. Loved the flavours - for $13 is was good value but wasn’t filling. Would definitely go back to try other menu items. Very friendly service.

Great burgers and more - Edit
The burger patties are based on locally made TMRW Foods plant-based meat, with added beans and other ingredients. I had the very good cheezeburger, which comes topped with all the fixings. I took away for later a side (large serving though) of roast broccoli and mushroom XO sauce. Hot sides include corn-on-the-cob and yam wedges; cold sides include three salads. Other menu items attracted me, so I will visit again soon (jerk tempeh, grilled eggplant...).

Perfect for a fast-food craving - Edit
I was visiting Vancouver for a night and hadn’t eaten all day, so when I was craving an intense meal that would be quick and satiating this exceeded my expectations!! The costs are quite low and, in turn, the menu is not exceedingly complex, but it’s a great vegan alternative to a common fast-food chain (and healthier - definitely recommend the beet & apple salad)

Yum - Edit
Everything on the menu is just as good as the photos make it look like it will be. Big fat burgers, tastey onion rings, yumyumyum. I loved it when I went to the restaurant, I didn't like it as much when it was delivered. The kind of food that's best eaten fresh and hot.

Tasteless and burnt - Edit
Well, it has finally happened, we sadly did not finish any of the dishes we ordered.
Read moreBetween the two of us, we ordered onion rings, the Chick-un burger, chilli cheese fries and the "burger".
They managed to get our orders wrong twice despite just having only two people on another table who had clearly finished eating.
We ordered the Chik-un burger and the "burger" with the added extras of avocado and cheese on top but they thought that we wanted the Chick-un burger with the avocado and cheese - miscommunication OR they should name the "burger" another name.
So only the onion rings, chilli cheese fries and my Chick-un burger came, we left it 5 minutes in the hopes that our "burger" with avocado and cheese would come out, my boyfriend saw that my Chick-un burger had the added extras and so went over to sort out the confusion (he ordered the "burger" again with the extras). It came out but without the added extras.....
The onion rings were burnt and close to the dark soy sauce brown colour, oily and unpleasant, which is a shame because we LOVE onion rings and I loved the crispiness of them - I am surprised that they got the onions rings to be like this - judging by the other photos, this is how they serve it and that's not good.
The chilli cheese fries wasn't tasty, I liked the looks of the ingredients - we would be happy with just the fries by themselves with a bit of salt, honestly, the fries are my kind of fries, the other stuff wasn't so good on it.
The Chick-un burger, I loved the crispy batter on the seitan but that's it, the batter was all that I could taste, they did manage to make seitan good in the sense that it's not dry or hard. Overall it was tasteless, my stomach felt a bit uncomfortable due to the oil of all combined dishes.
The "burger" needs a new name, the boyfriend did not like it at all and I've never seen him leave a burger unfinished!
The integrity of both burgers were unstable, juices/ sauce everywhere and everything pretty much fell apart - we heavily disliked the bags they came in, you really want a plate for stuff like this.
On the plus side, they served beer which we didn't know about so that was nice, the food came out looking photogenic (that's about it), the place itself had a good amount of seating and lighting.

They improved on the thickness of the "chicken" patty, instead of just eating batter and oil, it's improved greatly!
Chilli cheese fries also tasted a lot better!
Pros: Vegan, Beer
Cons: tasteless, burnt onion rings!!!!

Great Fast Food Option on Davie - Edit
We tried this place out for the first time tonight - comfortable setting, real friendly staff, just very welcoming! Menu had great options (we had a tough time deciding!)
Read moreOpted for the chick-un sandie and chili cheez fries. Presentation was nice and simple, we paid upfront and the food was brought to us.
Sandwich was great - really have not had seitan like this before! Great crunch to it and not too tough or chewy at all. Think the sauce could use a bit of tweaking to make it a touch more flavorful, though, but on the whole it was good. The fries were good too, although same with the sauce. Just seems to be missing that extra little something.
We definitely plan to go back though, and try more things on the salad / hot bowl menu, as they sound fantastic!
Pros: Crunchy seitan, House-made take-home products, Pretty reasonable for a plant-based estab.
Cons: Sauce taste could use a bit more of something

Good comfort food - Edit
We got take out and really enjoyed it. We had the burger with cheese, fried chick-un sandwich and Nashville fried chicken-un sandwich. Preferred the Nashville over the plain as there was more flavour. Onion rings were great and the fries were too. Would be better fresh in restaurant but that’s not our current reality. Will come again.
