everything is vegan and guaranteed fresh! a good chunk of their menu is made in-house, such as their sauce, pastries, and cashew milk. there are plentiful to-go options that include puddings, wraps, and juice. my new favorite is the jackfruit shawarma sandwich on a wrap. the owner himself gave me extra hot sauce when i mentioned being a heat fiend! the drinks, especially the seasonal sido's sip (a salted maple tahini latte) are excellent. quirky and clean, these folks really care about anyone who stops by.
Read moreif they run out of anything, they are happy to provide suggestions based on what you're looking for in terms of a flavor profile. it was a very humanizing interaction i haven't experienced before when encountering this scenario. the consistent specials and drinks, in addition to the excellent service, keeps you going. however, it can be a bit expensive and the taste errs on being mild.
Pros: all vegan, friendly, fresh creative organic fare
Cons: short hours, not always the most flavorful, sometimes they run out of items

loved everything i got! the vanilla oat milk latte was one of the best i’ve ever had 🤯 got the bravocado and knuckle sandwiches- the cashew mayo has a little bit of sweetness to it which i typically don’t like but thought it worked really well on these sandwiches. blueberry muffin was perfectly moist and bigger than i expected. it was all very fresh and delicious! will definitely be back if i find myself in Cleveland again 🥰

Incredible bravocado sandwich. Avacado with some sort of maple bacon like vegan substitute. I tried the blueberry smoothie and wasn’t disappointed one bit. It’s street parking in a fairly busy neighborhood and no sit down. I found a parking spot pretty quickly and ate in my car. Definitely worth your try if you are close.

I ordered a bravocado sandwich on gluten free bread. It was so much better than I imagined. Simple but full of flavor. I enjoyed the toasted bread. My everlasting gaze smoothie was just what I needed to get me home after a long shift at work.

I love a nice treat from Beet Jar. Their food is delicious; However, instead of speaking on this, I would like to take time to speak on the kindness of the owners and staff. The owners are very kind, and I am happy to say that they are not over-the-top. They have put together a nice environment to come and pick out an array of colorful vegan foods and drinks, and the presentation and preparations are always considered. The extended staff is also welcoming, and with that they are not pushy nor over-the-top. I just love this kind of characteristic. The juices are very tasty and well made here, but it's worth the trip for the Bravocado alone. They even make their own mayonnaise. Sometimes they put too much coconut bacon on it, so if you don't want a huge pile, you can ask them to lighten that up a bit. I've always had perfectly ripe avocados here, which I appreciate.

I dropped by looking for food, and there wasn't much on offer — just a few pre-made items in the fridge. Fortunately, the collard wrap i picked was tasty and satisfying.

Great food, very small place. I grabbed a salad, which I thought was expensive ($10) but when I ate it I was thrilled. Best salad I've had in a long time. Simple creative ingredients and I am damn picky!! Be aware, sandwiches are only sold until 2, so try to get there before then. Love it!

Beet Jar is a really great place, they have delicious cold-pressed juices that are creative. The owners are both vegan and both truly care about food quality. In addition to the juices that they have, they have THE BEST sandwich - The Bravacado. The Bravacado is a coconut BBQ sandwich that is 100% vegan + everything is organic.

Read moreI was just passing through Cleveland with my band & instead of having a late morning coffee at Rising Star, I decided to head over here for a smoothie. I ordered their mango-lavender smoothie & it was seriously awesome! I also got their sandwich, called the "Bravocado", which I also highly recommend. And tho I am not one to search & find eats that are reminiscent/mocks of things I used to eat, I'd say that this sandwich is the closest thing to a BLT that I've eaten since being an omnivore. So, that was fun! The fully loaded sandwich was packed with toasted coconut, alongside just the right amount of avocado, red onion & an inspiring cashew based mayo spread.
In addition to the smoothie & sammy I personally experienced, they also stock & supply their fridges with their own freshly made cashew milk, cold-pressed juices, cheesecake (blueberry-lavender was the flavor when I was there), chia pudding, as well as a myriad of other products they order in- various kombuchas (local & non-local), coconut water & a bunch more.
So... Just go!
