Delicious kebabs and hot dogs! - Edit
All the food is vegan. We had the katsu curry hot dog & onion rings and kebab and chips. Both were delicious.

Simple, tasty junk food - Edit
Based within a quirky pub (The Hope & Ruin), Beelzebab serves diner style junk food.
Read morePrices are great, and the food tasted good, but was very simple. The currywurst loaded fries is literally just sliced sausage on fries with curry sauce. A bit more creativity could have improved it, but what it is is still well worth trying if you just want a good hotdog. Especially if you want it with a pint of beer!

Topnotch. - Edit
Many things I love about this venue, vegan hit dogs and kebabs, a great range of beers and friendly staff. Alternative vibe and live music venue upstairs. Busy in evenings but pleasantly peaceful in the day.

So good I forgot to take a photo - Edit
Amazing venue, very clear LGBT supportive place. The food was great, I had a chilli cheese dog. Out of battered gherkins but I would come back for them

Vegan junk food inside pub - Edit
All vegan Food outlet within the pub. Serves mainly hot dogs, kebabs and chips. The kitchen is in a quirky caravan. I had the 'Norm' hot dog with a side of chips. My friend had cheesy chips. The hot dog was ok, nothing special, and the portion of cheesy chips was quite small. Service was quick, and it filled a hole before going to a gig upstairs. I would eat here again for the convenient location and nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly.

Beelzebab Belly Busting at Hope & Ruin - Edit
A long standing Brighton pub, the Hope & Ruin is centrally located in the city, providing 666% vegan food and booze in a vibrant arena of kitsch memorabilia and music. Beelzebab has been fulfilling the menu for 10 years now, with all foods of comfort; from hot dogs to kebabs, loaded fries and tater tots to brownies and cake. Junk food at its best with handmade seitan and fries loaded with a choice of toppings, all demanding to be ordered and greedily gobbled up. Portions are generous and we happily shared a Beelzebab kebab (only because this was our second lunch of the day!). Sparkling water and a glass of the house red wine were our refreshments of choice, served up by lovely people to 2 hungry vegans on a wet and miserable Monday afternoon. Perfect!

Tasty junk food - Edit
Very heavy as obviously it's junk food but still worth it as an occasional guilty pleasure. I was particularly impressed with the KFC style chicken drumsticks - super tasty😋

Great vibe and vegan hotdogs - Edit
Went here on our first night in Brighton for a couple of drinks and some vegan junk food, the hotdog was real good and the PB&J loaded fries were so tasty! Partner said the vegan hotdog tasted like a normal hotdog, though I quite liked it because it wasn't a strong flavour which meant the toppings really added. Loved the music playing and the whole vibe of the place, which even extended to the graffiti in the woman's toilets 😆 Would recommend for a couple of drinks (maybe not the whole night as it's quite loud there with the music) and some great vegan fast food

Pros: All vegan menu, Loads of options for junk food, LGBTQ+ friendly

Good food, definitely different - Edit
My bf & I split the “Big Ben” which was very interesting. It was too spicy for me but that’s on me for not reading everything correctly. It was also hard to split but we made it work. It’s inside a bar & I loved “666% vegan”

Great Food - Edit
Food was delicious. We ordered the krautdog and chilli nacho hotdog with satay and chilli jam loaded fries. Food was delivered to the table in good time, lots of good flavours. We got the fries not knowing if we would like them but we thought it worked really well, the satay wasn’t too overpowering and the sweetness of the jam worked with it -I would really recommend this.
Read moreAfterwards we got an Oreo brownie with peanut butter and caramel ice cream. Brownie was a great texture, not too soft and not grainy.
If we come back to Brighton we would eat here again ☺️

Good vegan hot dog - Edit
The vegan menu is located within the very cool bar! The whole place has a friendly, musical, and colorful vibe to it. The vegan hot dog itself and bun are okay and pretty boring, but the toppings make it pretty good. Would be better with a nicer bun and hot dog, but overall pretty good.

Yummy comfort fast food! - Edit
First time we came here it was so busy that we had to go eat elsewhere! Finally got a second chance to come back and really enjoyed the food! The toppings for the hotdogs were amazing, we came in late last year so had the bratwurst style hot dogs and they were unreal! Looking forward to coming back again soon hopefully!

My favourite place to eat in Brighton - Edit
I adore the hope & ruin. I highly recommend the signature kebab and a portion of poppers. Either eating in or taking away I am never disappointed. I usually always pop in when I am in brighton.

Vegan punx - Edit
This is where all the cool punx hang out in Brighton. I got the dirty dog for a £8.90, it came with onion rings (can opt for fries too) and i enjoyed it with a pint of pale ale. I can only wish there was a punk vegan craft beer bar in my town when i grew up.

Great pub, great food - Edit
The Hope & Ruin is a great pub, either for a chilled non-evening drink, more of an evening drink and some music downstairs or a full gig upstairs. On the way from the station to the beach so no excuse for missing out.
Read moreFood at Beelzebab is always great - it's 'junk food' style i.e. a perfect accompaniment to a few pints. Am partial to a hot dog/pengest poppers/gherkin but I'd eat almost anything on the menu (though beware - the portions are pretty generous so be prepared to exercise restraint when ordering). Have monthly themed specials which are always interesting.
Pub & food staff have always been lovely whenever I've been in.
Pros: Delicious food, Good amount of space in the pub & good environment, Great selection of drinks

Cool place - Edit
The pub is great and the staff is very friendly. However I couldn't finish my vegan kebab as it was very spicy and I couldn't really taste anything else than the chilly - I was surprised as kebabs are not a particularly spicy dish usually. I would have appreciated more tzatziki sauce and more (and more blended) vegetables. Next time I will try the hot dogs instead.

Lovely place and staff, food was ok - Edit
The staff are kind and the place has cool vibes, sadly the food isn’t amazing- we had a Seitan kebab that had a lot of “meat” but barely any sauce or salad.
