Menu has a vegan page, but none of it was available to order - Edit
Ridiculous. They said they didn’t have a single one of those vegan options available for ordering today (a Wednesday at noon in August). There are vegetarian things I could have customized, but it didn’t seem worth it. I got a lovely smoothie, girlfriend got coffee, and now we’re headed back to the city for a more agreeable lunch.
Read moreStill come visit the sanctuary, but when you hit up the cafe/restaurant, don’t expect an accommodating, abundant feast.

Laut Aussagen mehrerer Mitarbeiter, gibt es dort leider nur vegetarische und keine veganen Gerichte.

I’m reviewing this as a whole vegan tourist attraction… great place to visit 30 minutes out of Pristina with a fab ethos round rescuing bears within Kosovo and Albania. The restaurant serves meat and has plenty of veggie stuff on the menu but the staff are poorly informed about what is vegan. I got told ‘vegetarian and vegan are the same’ and after cautiously talking to 4/5 people opted for salad and soup. Menu needs labelling and staff need more to be more informed. The food was a high quality though, overall 4*

Amazing place and good food - Edit
This place is so nice to visit, can't recommend it enough. The bears live in great circumstances. The restaurant has a good menu and the staff is very friendly and open to making vegan food. I was there during a special vegan dinner event, it is so great that the Bear Sanctuary also stimulates eating vegan. You won't regret going here!

Delicious vegan options - Edit
We visited this bear sanctuary outside the city and so glad we did. These bears were formally living in small cages outside restaurants to attract customers and were rescued by the organization over the last 10 years or so. Now they have ample space (as much as they would in the wild) with a pool to splash around in and a place to sleep in winter. No breeding program here either and the entry fee is only €2.
Read moreThe food at the restaurant was made to order. We had breakfast donuts served with savory ajvar (traditional roasted red pepper paste), oven roasted mushrooms and a broccoli soup with bread. The food was great! There was also a vegan chili, pasta, and a few more starters. We didn't check to see if the pizza or risotto could be made vegan.
