Headed here after discovering Seasalt & Passion had shut, pretty little cafe with nice flowers outside- clean, bright with wooden floor and tables. Not much choice for vegans- there was either French Onion Soup or Pasta Bake, I took the bake with salad which was simple and tasty. Average portions. No vegan desserts bar crumpets and jam or canned fruit. Nice coffee and pleasant staff, who could clearly tell me which mains were Vegan. Salad was totally vegan, with the option of dressings (Vegan options!). Overall a nice, cosy place and I would definitely return. It's not the best veggie place I've been, but it certainly beats the ubiquitous fish/carvery restaurants and it's pretty cheap too!!! Location is fine, especially good if you are travelling by train.
A nice and friendly place with a homely feel. Great salads and huge selection of quiches. One main course is usually vegan. Lots of homemade cakes but none appear to be vegan. Rather surprisingly they don't have soya milk. Soup of the day always tends to be vegan. A pleasant setting on the approach to the main town of Bridlington. They also sell quaint hand-made wooden ships made from driftwood and artifacts washed up on the beach. I have been there and will go again!
This cafe has unfortunately been taken over by people who don't know what the word 'vegan' means, as it had to be explained. When that was sorted, it turned out that there was extremely limited choice. They didn't even have soya milk. No more massive slabs of vegan cake that the previous owner used to make - in fact no vegan puddings at all. A very poor effort and generally disappointing. I wouldn't bother coming back here.
It's worth making the trip to Bridlington and seeking out this cafe just for their cakes! Their food is really good. They always have a different home-made soup on offer (mostly vegan), plus savoury tarts, pizza and many other choices (quite a few vegan choices). Their cakes and desserts are simply gorgeous!
They're open from Wednesday to Saturday 11am - 3pm.
