Nice - Edit
I got the cruffin ! It was very nice but did cost £6, I can’t knock it because the cake was a beast and I had to half it with my husband!
Read moreIt has a hazelnut filling inside which is quite light and not too sickly.
The cafe is very buzzy but nice, didn’t stay for food as options are a bit boring on their new menu.
Pros: Good quality , Nice staff , Delicious
Cons: Expensive

Can’t fault it (would give 5 stars if I could) - Edit
This is my favourite place to eat after any activity in the Brecons/ Bannau Brycheiniog. Loads of vegan options for main meals and baked goods. Coffee is superb too.

Amazing place - Edit
Lovely place with a nice chill atmosphere. I ordered the Bean and Bread, a little worried it would be too heavy for me as I don’t have much of an appetite, but it was ideal. Very tasty and just the right amount.

I had a delish and beautifully presented Smoothie bowl here! Note: on a weekend it’s best to book as it can get quite busy!

Great atmosphere and delicious food - Edit
Stopped here for lunch on my own, great place to chill and get some work done/ read a book. I had a coronation Chickpea sandwich which was absolutely delicious and came with homemade sweet potato crisps and a lovely salad. I also got one of their vegan cinnamon buns to take away. Really lovely space with great food and friendly staff, would absolutely reccomend if in the area.

Great food, shame about the laptops - Edit
First, let's get the minor quibbles over and done with. There's a sign as you enter the restaurant that invites you to try their craft beers. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be licensed any longer. I made do with an elderflower cordial, which, to be fair, wasn't bad.
Read moreSecondly, Bean and Bread is a popular place, and much in demand; there are often queues waiting to get in. They would do well to shuffle along the types who come in early, order a miserable little coffee, and then spend the entire day communing with their laptops.
So, that aside: lovely food. I had the felafel salad, which came with black beans, pink hummus (pink from beetroot, I'm guessing), black beans and a delicious vinaigrette. I'd definitely come back if the place isn't crowded out by hipsters who are too tight to pay for their own wi-fi.

Independent coffee shop with good vegan range - Edit
I visited this newly-opened independent coffee shop and was delighted to find great food, pleasant and friendly staff and a large, light and airy interior. (I loved the lampshades and open fire place).
Read moreThe food is what I would call snack food - a range of toasts with different toppings together with good quality coffee and cakes. There are 4 plant milks on offer, smoothies and vegan cheese. I had the sourdough toast with vegan cream cheese, radish and microgreens with a side order of mushrooms and it was delicious. I didn't have any coffee, opting instead for a healthy soft drink from their range. I took away some vegan welsh cakes which were really good too.
There are gluten free options and most of the food is vegan or can be made vegan. Definitely worth a visit.
Pros: Good choice for vegans, Healthy drinks, Lovely staff
Cons: Would like more cooked food. Especially in winter
