Serves meat, vegan options available. Seafood restaurant with labeled vegan options including soup, salad and a hummus wrap. Open Mon-Wed 11:00am-2:00pm, Thu-Sat 11:00am-9:00pm, Sun 10:00am-2:00pm.
Nestled in a house on the water you’ll find this gem of Sitka. Fresh ingredients and options for just about everyone. Friendly and aware service/staff.
I enjoyed the massages kale salad. Amazing flavors! I particularly loved the dressing, the fruits and pecans, they added so much to the kale. The lentil soup was flavorful and full of veggies.
I got the kale salad which was yummy & a side of rice which wasn’t on the menu but they were happy to make. Also had soy and other non dairy milk for coffee
Every time we want to go out to eat for something other than take out, we go to beak. They always have a vegan option on the menu and it is a classy option for any special occasion.
The vegan offerings were exceptional. Had an open faced hummus sandwich on flatbread, a spinach salad with chickpeas marinated in something fabulous and barley soup. Also tried their Coffee Cubed drink vegan style (coffee ice cube in espresso with soy milk). Yum!
They have two salads, a vegan barley soup, a hummus pate, and a tofu/rice/Bok choy entree (only at dinner). Food and service were good, high quality and fresh.
Not a ton of vegan options but I tried everything vegan on the menu and most of it was delicious. Vegan menu items are listed as such on the menu, except for the tofu bowl but the servers & cook confirmed it was or could be made vegan. The barley soup was disappointing and had an overwhelming dried herb taste. Arugula salad & hummus appetizer were good but not really anything special. I enjoyed the tofu & brown rice bowl. Nice local beer options, cute indoor & outdoor seating areas. Overall pretty good considering the paucity of options in Sitka.
Very bland food that is dished out in teeny tiny snack sized portions. I had all the vegan options they had. The hummus pita wrap, a salad, and barley soup. The soup barely had any contents. There is no way you could eat even ALL these meals and be full but they are sold as entire meals with prices that reflect that. I am 120 lbs. so it is not as if I am some huge person who needs mountains of foods.
This restaurant has small menu with few vegan options like kale salad, barley soup, hummus plate and hummus wrap. Very ambient atmosphere outside with no single soul around.

Best in town! - Edit
They had the most vegan options in town and locally source as much as they can. Check the Beak out if you’re in Sitka!
