The chili cheese nachos! - Edit
The first time we went, got the vegan chili cheese fries. The vegan nacho cheese was fantastic! The chips were freshly fried and very tasty! I also got a mango jalapeño margarita and it was probably the best I’ve ever had. We went back the next day and got bagel sandwiches. There were tons of vegan options! The vegan mayo is made with capers and was very tasty! I’d give this place 5 stars if I could.

Definitely a few vegan options to choose from. I was on a budget so i got a salad ($11USD $4USD for tofu) which ended up being appetizer size. Bill was $19 & i was still hungry afterwards

They had a really interesting selection of vegan food that differs from the standard vegan options you get on menus. I had the beet-stained stuffed mushroom pasta which was super tasty and was tempted to get more as they sounded so good, but I wouldn't have been able to eat it all 😅 the staff were really lovely too. It is pricey but I guess in keeping with Nosara in general (EDIT: after being in Nosara for longer, they are definitely very pricey!) They have 'vegan forward' as one of their missions, however still serve seafood (maybe meat too, I didn't check), would be fab if they were to go all vegan with that in mind!!

Cannot recommend that place. Value for money isn’t good and the food is very expensive. I like that they do have several vegan options but I recommend to concentrate on a few and improve the quality. I waited an hour for the food which could’ve been prepared in 15 minutes. The Guacamole was only a smashed avocado in its shell and the fajitas were made with an Asian sweet & sour sauce.

BDC is our very fave restaurant in Nosara. Great menu. Lots of delicious vegan options. Breakfasts, smoothies, lunches and their coffee is amazing.

We walked over after a rainy afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by the selections and quality of food. The vegan nachos were some of the best I have ever had. The sweet chili tacos were amazing. We wanted to go back but it rained. The service was also really attentive and friendly but the place itself is rustic but not to be missed.

Read morei ordered one of their specifically vegan dishes and within an hour i was in the hospital. both the doctor and the EMT that treated me assured me that this is because after being vegan for more than 20 years, i had consumed meat. i am a healthy woman in my 30s and within 20 minutes of eating here, i was violently ill, could barely breathe and could not walk unassisted.

Beach dog is a very vegan friendly place, mostly everything on the menu can be made vegan. Also, the owner just opened a bar/restaurant behind the main restaurant that is only vegan! The have an open mic on certain days which makes a really nice ambiance and we hung there all week long since it’s 2min from the beach. Picklemole, pad Thai, the curry, Mediterranean bowl all good choices plus people there are really attaching:) really recommend!

Unfortunately, I just stumbled on the place after dinner somewhere else. Did try the cauliflower fritters which were pretty good. Cool hang out place also, live music and open Mic at times. Gave 4 stars mainly for all the vegan menu items and had fun hanging out there.
