Serves meat, vegan options available. Diner with many vegan options including vegan pancakes, waffles, tofu scramble and a wrap. Open Mon-Thu 7:00am-3:00pm, Fri-Sun 7:00am-4:00pm.
I ordered (and ate) the tofu scramble before reading these reviews saying it's not even vegan *eyeroll*. Honestly this is slightly worse than hospital food. I do not recommend!
They cool the potatoes in butter. The veggie sausage has cheese, the basil pasta has milk. The only real vegan options are vegan pancakes and a tofu scramble that you have to remove the veggie sausage from.
This place is perfect for the entire family- it has a massive, predominantly non-vegan menu, so you can go here with anyone and everyone will walk away happy. They have lots of fun and original pancake recipes that range from classic to basically dessert. I believe almost all of them can be made vegan (just ask about the fancier ones). Right now they only have vegan pancakes, but it would be great to see them add vegan waffles/French toast/crepes too.
They also have some great savory options, with my particular favorite being the tofu scramble, which includes tofu “eggs”, veggie sausage, beans, corn, avocado, and rice. It comes with breakfast potatoes or hash browns on the side, and I always have extra left to take home, and all for a decent price. They have some other items that I haven’t yet tried on the lunch menu, such as a yummy-looking wrap with fries.
The biggest issue with this place is how small it is; it gets super busy on the weekends especially, and the wait time can sometimes be over an hour. Come early in the morning or late afternoon if you want quicker service. They also just implemented an electronic Yelp waitlist, which you can check into before you even leave, leading to less waiting. Definitely check this place out if you can!!
If you're in the mood for some vegan pancakes, Bea Bea's are the way to go. The menu has a huge selection of pancakes and I think that 90% of them can be veganized. I highly recommend the Apple Cobbler pancakes (vegan of course). They were perfect and fluffy and not overly sweet.
I've also had their tofu scramble and their vegan wrap. The tofu scramble is not your traditional "scramble." It has a rice base with tofu in it. Still very good and a good alternative if you want something more savory than sweet.
The vegan wrap is pretty good too. Has some good veggies in it. My only complaint about it - it was really messy. The sauce kept dripping out and getting all over my fingers.
A good place to go for groups with mixed diets. They also do gluten-free - though I think they do them separately. Not sure how much vegan AND gluten-free stuff they have.
