Fresh and flavourful - Edit
Be right back is a small eatery in the heart of Linz. I'm a regular visitor because I enjoy their weekday lunch menu a lot: a small bowl of soup followed by a mixed bowl of your choice - choose rice noodles or rice, one of two sauces (teriyaki or curry, both vegan) and the main ingredient (vegan: marinated avocado or homemade fried shiitake tofu) that's accompanied by roasted vegetables. The homemade tofu is the main star: very crispy on the outside, smooth inside, combined with flavourful Shiitake mushrooms.
Read moreI often order the vegan summer rolls as a starter that are available with mango and/or avocado (you can either order two with one of the fillings or two mixed avo/mango ones). The peanut sauce that comes along with it is incredibly good - if there's any left after dipping the rolls in it I usually eat the rest with a spoon :)) the vegan rolls always come with vegan mayo now - there were some misunderstandings when the place was new but now they have dill understanding of what's vegan and will always prepare your food fully vegan when you order the dishes with vegan ingredients.
For drinks, try the kalamansi juice with soda water! Very tangy and fresh.
While BRB was cash only in the beginning, if allows payment by card now. If you know you'll be dropping by make sure to reserve a table, it gets crowded during rush hours. Waiting time - both for ordering, food preparation and waiting to pay - can be a bit long during busy lunch/dinner hours too, so don't expect to be in and out like in a fast food joint.
Offers takeout and delivery (area covered by delivery might be limited) and if you want to avoid packaging tell them to use the glass boxes (against a deposit fee) that you can return.

Pros: Fresh ingredients, Promotes sustainability - glass boxes for delivery, Very flavourful dishes, never bland
Cons: Waiting times can be long, Small place, so often no tables available , Sanitary area is not always super clean

Best asian cuisine in Linz - Edit
The restaurant is easy to overlook but definitely worth a try in Linz!
Read moreLovely and dedicated staff. We enjoyed the vegan rainbowl and some vegan friendly starters. Everything full of flavor and really well prepared. Cosy atmosphere with a small outdoor area. Reasonable priced ☺️ we will definitely fulfill the promising name of the restaurant and “be right back” as soon as we visit the city again.
Pros: Various vegan options , Very friendly staff
Cons: Waiting time

Vegan Burger - Edit
The vegan burger costs 10,90€. It has a bun, that’s not out of bread. I guess it’s fried tofu with shiitake mushrooms. It‘s innovative but I didn’t like it. It‘s way to expensive
Read moreThe straws are made out of wood, i guess it‘s bamboo.
There was no card payment option, but there is an ATM, down the road.
Pros: Nice people, Wooden straws, Clean toilet
Cons: No card payment option, Expensive, I didn’t like it

food was okay, but... - Edit
I went there spontaneuously with my mum to grab some food, because I heard some good stuff about their vegan dishes.
Read moreWhen we got our summer rolls, I was curious about the mayo on the plate so I asked the waitress if it was vegan. She said it's not vegan, but the summer rolls were marked as vegan in the menu. So i went to the chef to tell them that it's better not to use any non-vegan sauces on a vegan dish plate. He apologized, but said "I didn't know if you are vegan or if you only ordered vegan by coincidence, so I used mayo" - I found that really weird. In my opition, if something is marked vegan, it has to be anyway. So fast forward - about 15 mins after our talk the table next to us ordered exactly the same vegan summer rolls - and they got it exactly with the same mayo on there. So to me it seemed like they don't take it seriously to only use vegan ingredients for a (marked) vegan dish. I won't go there again because the burger afterwards wasn't mindblowing as well.
Pros: service was nice
Cons: non-vegan sauce on vegan plate , don't take criticism seriously
