Fine pastries

They have many varieties of drinks and baked patisseries.
They use a lot of nuts for the filling, which makes the cakes rather nourishing (which justifies why they cost 7.5€, in my opinion).

The place is nicely decorated and there's a very nice vibe.
The staff is also friendly and eager to give you all the details about their cakes.

All-in-all, a nice place to grab a cup of coffee with a nice dessert.
(It seems they do a brunch sometimes)

Pros: high quality desserts, friendly staff, nice vibe

Delightful vegan cafe with many gluten free options

The cakes in BeNuts are really delicious - bursting with flavour and full of interesting textures. I found it exceptionally welcoming and the staff had brilliant English and knew the ingredients and allergens really well. Everything is really beautifully presented and this place has a lovely serene atmosphere. A perfect spot for a quiet escape, to work from or a catch-up with a friend.

Pros: Lots of gluten free options, Everything is vegan, Great choice of plant milks

Cons: Expensive

Ahhh those cookies....

Nutty crunchy richness of flavour on those cookies.... Brownies are not bad at all, neither.
Haven't tried the rest

Cozy place and tasty pastries

This place is located in the lively Saint-Gilles but it's a peace oasis. The ambient is very relaxing and cozy. We went for a coffee and a pastry and it was a pleasant experience. The pastries looks amazing - we had a choco peanut butter brownies and it was very good. They have very beautiful and sophisticated bars with grapes and strawberries but I should admit that they are very expensive for the size. For sure the pastry level is very high but definitely out of my budget.
The coffee was very good and I've really appreciated the presentation, with very cute cups and wooden bars.

Pros: Cozy and relaxing, Impressive pastries, Admirable presentation

Cons: A bit expensive

Beautiful pastries in a comfortable space

I shared a grapefruit-flavoured cake and a walnut chocolate chip cookie. Both tasted delicious and were beautifully presented on slate tiles sitting in wooden trays. The cafe is very spacious and hosts the occasional music event too. There isn't a lot to choose from but what they do, they do very well.

Amazing pastries

I was dying to try this place and it did not disappoint. I had the chocolate/raspberry pastry and the taste and texture are spot on. At 7.5 EUR they don't come cheap but they are absolutely worth it. I will definitely be back.

Pros: Exquisite pastries, Lovely interior, Friendly owner

Just beautiful

I had a soup of the day (sunroot and something else with walnut garnish) with a bowl of hummus and some I think sodabread or sourdough bread, a grapefruit pastry and a peanut butter brownie, and a coffee, and it was all spot on. I took the brownie away with me and ate it in a train station waiting room with lots of people around, which was a mistake because it made me make an embarrassing "oh" kind of sound. The soup didn't touch the sides. The other striking thing about it was the presentation. It all had edible flowers on it and everything. It's meticulous, must be seen to be believed. The staff were very nice and we had a good laugh; one of them was from Wales so speaks native English, if you're worried about language barriers. The only thing is it cost €24 but I had three visits' worth of food plus a coffee, so you'd expect to pay €7ish and €3 for a drink, which is usual for Brussels, especially with the cookery having such a gourmandise approach. Next time I'm in Brussels I'm making a beeline for this place. I might even go on another holiday as an excuse.

Pros: Food artistry, Lovely staff, Next to two tramstops

Delicious vegan pastries and soup, great espresso & hot chocolate

The place just opened. We visited twice in less than two weeks during which we also tried two other relatively new vegan coffee places in Brussels. Be nuts surpasses them all. It is the best coffee and vegan pastries place in Brussels (and I tried many in the last 3 years). Delicious and sophisticated vegan pastries (not the usual uninventive vegan pastries): the grapefruit (this is my favorite) and almond are fresh and light and not too sweet. The chocolate peanut butter is perfect for kids and if you like it a bit sweeter. My partner said the espresso is very good (and he is very picky). The hot chocolate with oat milk extra dark and no sweetener is the best so far i have drank ( i sampled all the hot chocolates in Brussels since I can't drink coffee) and the amount is very generous (perfect for a cold and rainy winter day). Today we also tried the zucchini soup (very generous portion) which was not only very flavorful but also had a very nice texture. The price of the drinks and soup are on par with prices in the neighborhood. The pastries are bit more expensive but definitively worthwhile! If i can make some suggestions:
-today there was less variety in pastries, a bit more is welcome (the owner said they will have more in a week or so)
-some savory dishes besides the soup would be great (the owner said in a month or so they will have more) and if they are good as the soup I can't wait
-more comfy couches and less uncomfortable short stool
I will be definitively be back

Pros: food, espresso, hot chocolate

Cons: stools

New kid on the block - didn't disappoint

Had a chocolate cake & hazelnut cream pastry. Very delicious. The herbal tea was good as well.

The whole place is pleasing on the eye... cozy but very spacious. Lots of light... and there are quite a few plants.

By the way... the sweet creations are visually so appealing! Like little pieces of art.

Definitely coming back for more!

Pros: Very tasty cakes, Visually esthetic creations, Comfortable atmosphere

Cons: A little expensive, due to the quality ingredients
