The lobster roll on the pretzel bun was delicious! Nice place to relax with friends over wine and healthy tasty food. Saw there were cake slices for sale in the refrigerated section, will need to come back for those!

Be Market - Edit
I had my hopes up high for Be Market since they are 100% but didn't have high expectations being mindful this restaurant is way up in the suburbs...there's a lot less competition in the suburbs and the food is usually more bland, that's just my assessment.
Read moreWe ordered an artichoke dip, the "tuna" salad tartine, and the buffalo "chicken" pizza. All were just OK and nothing to write home about, sadly. It's a fine option, just not one I'd drive out of my way for again.

10/10 - Edit
I ordered carry out from Be Market for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food after my 20 minute trek home. My pulled jackfruit sliders were perfectly intact and my chicken Cesar salad was evenly dressed without being too soggy. I was also very impressed by their large vegan menu, I will definitely be back.

You could make better vegan food at home. I ordered a cheese pizza and it had whole slices of round daiya circles on it. Very lazy. Lacked in flavor big time. The broccoli soup lacked a creaminess. It just tasted like broccoli and salty bouillon. The nachos were really good and so was the buffalo chicken pizza. The chicken was very sparse, like one tender spread out over the entire pizza. The chickpeas on the pizza didn’t taste like buffalo at all. The pizza just tasted like it had heat but not buffalo sauce. It was good though. I was disappointed overall.

Great food-fast & friendly service-call ahead to order to skip most/any wait - Edit
We started eating here early January ‘19 -not sure what took us so long to try the place but we all love the menu and it’s supposed to be expanded with beyond burgers soon -not sure why the delay -but we are happy enough with the options. We order the same things weekly -the soups, PLT tartine, avocado toast, spinach artichoke pizza (because their other pizzas’ cheese is soy and we don’t do that for our son) chicken Caesar salad. My son gets a chocolate smoothie that are pre-made in the case by the establishment. Amazing brownies especially if you let them get to room temperature. They also are one of the few places that carry products from a great local place- who makes gluten-free vegan non-soy apple & berry pies and vegan pot pies. We go there at least weekly and despite moving 30 minutes away we will continue to make the drive. We call in our order before we leave home and it’s generally available within 20 to 25 minutes.
Read morePros: Large portions, Fast service, Great tasting food
Cons: Too many options that only have soy cheese, Wish the smoothies were made on demand, Some prices are very high- $35 pie

Fantastic food and ambiance... - Edit
Definitely one of my favorite places for vegan food in the Chicagoland area... and my number one place up in Lake County, IL. Not only is the food, wine, beer and alcohol list diverse and delicious... the ambiance and people you meet there are just as fantastic. Also, as a gluten free vegan I was happily surprised at all the options for me to try. Be Market's founder, Vade, is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet! He's kind and full of nutritional wisdom. He actually enjoys helping people obtain optimal health! He's someone you'd be lucky to know. So, if you're looking for a super relaxed, comfy and welcoming all vegan "experience" ... check out Be Market in Lake Bluff. You won't be sorry you did.

A little of this and that... - Edit
Cozy place, smaller menu that is still developing with sandwiches, pizzas, salad, juices, beer, cider, wine, baked goods, packaged food & snacks... A few oil free options that I was told would be expanding shortly. Interesting, seems like it is still coming together. Worth another taste this winter.

I love being at this place. Everything we’ve ordered has been delicious, and the soup definitely stands out. There are also lots of great take-out options. The owner is warm and friendly and has a great backstory as many vegan restaurant owners do! Can’t wait to bring more friends here.

Soups are the best - Edit
You know that kind of soup that you taste and it's so flavorful, the taste rolls around in your mouth and you shimmy in your chair a little? They have two of them. A potato tumeric soup and roasted broccoli. Obviously fresh and made with love. I personally love their nachos. Not sure what kind of vegan cheese sauce it is, but it's one of the best. I brought the s'mores brownies to a work meeting and a grown man practically interrupted the meeting to exclaim how good they were. And I didn't even tell anyone they were vegan!
Read moreI'm not a fan of their spinach artichoke dip or the spinach artichoke pizza. Other people like it but I think it's a little greasy. If you like spice, get the Buffalo chicken pizza. And if you like a classic, go for margherita!
