worth the effort to get there

This cute little cafe is a bit out of the way in the countryside.
We took a taxi. But it was worth the effort.
It's fully vegan and tasty. We were there for lunch and the lunch was so good we ordered a bento to go for dinner.
The owner was friendly and good natured. Spoke English. English menu available.
Very comfortable sitting there.

Pros: The lunch was tasty., The staff were friendly and helpful, Take out was available (bento)

Cons: Not open for dinner.

Go go go!

For what reasons are we vegan to begin with? To stimulate an economy based on ethics? To eat delicious food? To support locals in their quest for sustainability?

And here we find all of these things. A family that cooks, works, and serves together is a beautiful thing - and so beautiful things are made!

I've been here many times and each time has left me both happy and enchanted. It's difficult to describe in mere example the reasons why - yet if I would but try, I would mention the onset of wooden colour in the decor, the menu filled locally with things that grow, the happy youngsters that run around munching in play.

Home-made straws and wooden spoons and countryside smells and food that is delicious, and beautiful.

In fact in writing I make myself jealous of myself. I think I shall visit again before the end of this week, too, once again.

Pros: Beauty in food and dining, and a harmonious way forward , from which all vegan establishments should learn.

Cons: Somewhat out of the way

Wow

Great Indian inspired Japanese local dining. Off the beaten track but a great stop over if driving from Osaka towards the east (Nagoya... Tokyo). Or, if like us visiting the local attractions at nabari.

Don’t let the hippy facade fool you, the food is obviously prepared with care, skill and knowledge. A lovely homey rustic feel to the place.

And awesome, awesome food.

Pros: Explicitly vegan, Organic, Homegrown

Cons: Out of the way.

Great Atmosphere

Lay back place with great food and staff 😀 Not really around the corner but it was easy to combine with a visit to Iga (Ninja Village).
