Coconut Curry, Falafel, and Great Views - Edit
How times have changed! From the outside you'd expect nothing but standard pub food with maybe a salad option for vegans. It turned out to be a hard decision to make with several delicious options.

Vegan/Vegetarian options in the heart of the Adirondacks - Edit
We always enjoy a stop to Baxter Mountain Tavern during our stay in the Lake Placid region. They have several vegan and vegetarian options standard on their menu, great beer on tap and impeccable service. We love the rustic atmosphere and mountain views, too — a hidden gem just off the beaten path!

I don’t care that it’s not fully vegan, to have this many vegan options in this area was a blessing for a vegan who just hiked Mount Marcy and was exhausted.

Pretty good ADK spot for vegans - Edit
No, the place isn’t vegan (which is why I can’t give it more than three stars), but they at least make an attempt, which is more than you can logically ask for in the northern Adirondacks. We had the double Beyond Burger (twice as good as one Beyond Burger!) and the black bean burger, along with a few sides of veggies that weren’t ruined with butter. Sadly, we didn’t get to try the vegan curry; next time! To wrap up: Good food, very good service and truly great beer. Again, a worthy ADK spot!
