Clean and great food - Edit
This place is beautiful with great lighting and very clean. The drinks were delicious and the coffee cake was super yummy. It was awesome having this place a block over from our Airbnb. I’d highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area. Hours are 8-2pm

Got the Nutella latte—very delicious but super sweet so perfect to share with a friend. I lovvveedd that they had vegan whipped cream. I haven’t had whipped cream on my latte in ages. Tofu scramble was good but not mind blowingly recommend worthy.

So-so food - Edit
The food is all pre-made and unfortunately it was dry and served to us lukewarm, mostly still cold. I cannot recommend this restaurant.😒It’s not at all what I expected.

Cute place, great music, so-so food - Edit
Most of the food items are brought in from other restaurants and bakeries. I had a breakfast sandwich that was a vegan version of an egg and sausage McMuffin. My sandwich was warmed up. It did not taste fresh and was not very warm - a disappointing food experience! The lemon poppy bread was overly sweet. The scrambler my husband had was also warmed up - it was also warm but not hot. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere.

Nice small spot - Edit
1st time here. Street parking - a little challenging to find parking. Small spot. Indoor seating available. Super friendly service. They make their own baked goods and some savory items as well. They sell local vegan items also. They suggested an English muffin breakfast sandwich as their best seller. It was good. Nothing special. They warmed it up in house (it is available cold). It’s premade - not made to order. Their dessert options are nice. Had the cherry danish and it was wonderful. Looking forward to trying multiple options next time I am in the area.

Heavenly baked goods and coffee - Edit
I've been a loyal customer of Batter & Crumbs ever since they've opened. It's a nice space to have coffee or just grab a pastry. I especially love their seasonal items and pre-ordering a holiday cookie tray has become a tradition in my house. Their coffees and drinks are also excellent.

amazing baked goods! - Edit
i come here very often, and their baked goods from the case have always been fantastic! great drinks as well (i love getting the monthly specials), but my one qualm is that the food they source from other vendors (sandwiches, soups, ect) is hit or miss. i typically stick to housemade items and i am never disappointed by those. get the cannoli !

Vegan Cannolis - Edit
I was in Alexandria, VA for an event and drove the almost 3hrs to Philadelphia just to try this place! Definitely worth the drive. I’ve been vegan 10yrs and this was the best cannoli I’ve had. I took 3 to go, along with basically one of everything. No matter what you choose, you’ll be satisfied with it all!

Excellent coffee & pastries - Edit
I have yet to visit this shop in person, but my delivery was excellent. My coffee was wrapped well and still hot when I received it. It had not spilled. I was amazed! It tasted so good that I gave it to my mother to give her more proof that vegan is tasty. I ordered a variety of pastries so I will come back with updates. I tried the Pride Cake first, and I could not believe the size. It was huge! In fact, all the pastries were of good size. You definitely get your money’s worth here.

Best BLT! Great vibe!🫐 - Edit
I found this gem of a bakery when visiting friends in the area, and went back multiple times. First and foremost, the customer service was wonderful, and the overall vibe is so much fun! Each employee with whom we interacted was delightful and helpful.
Read moreThe food was delicious. A little pricey for breakfast food, but wholly justified by the fact that it’s all vegan food made on site. Clearly, a lot of love and prep goes into the food. I had a gluten-free pancake sandwich one day and a BLT the next. The pancake sandwich was good, but omg that BLT… I will dream of that BLT! The maple oat latte was also excellent. And I had a regular brew coffee which was good. Lastly, I bought a whole blueberry pie to take home, which looks scrumptious.
Overall, absolutely fantastic little bakery. I will 100% be going back next time I’m in Philly.

Thank you! We can't take credit for the BLT. Although we do all the baking of the vegan treats, our sandwiches come from local vendors. The BLT was made by our friends at Rowhouse Grocery (also a South Philly spot).

Disgusting Customer Service - Edit
The coffee was delicious. That is the only reason we returned, plus we were visiting from NYC; and, very excited to try their pastries. However, the customer service was DISGUSTING! We were not even greeted upon arriving. My boyfriend and I said “Good Morning!” with no response. They made us feel completely unwelcome. We asked if the sandwiches were made in the house, luckily we got a response of “no”. The barista went on to say that they’re made in a different bakery. OK, but why not let us know that they would heat them up there if necessary. SMFH! We walked out not knowing they heat up the sandwiches there. We decided to give them a chance by returning the next day, we were greeted. While ordering, the barista made a minor mistake, upon correcting the mistake, her or his response had an attitude, which was “that’s what you ordered” instead of just apologizing and/or simply correcting the mistake. I paid with a hundred dollar bill, they didn’t have change (NOT my Problem). Her/His response to a coworker was “I’m just going give them what I have here”. A simple way to communicate was to say to us, “we only have singles, is that ok?” or “we don’t have change, just singles, would you like paying in a different way?” Any other option would have been a lot more courteous. Their attitude was disgusting and I would go as far as to say prejudicial based on our experience.
